Albert Guest House

I stayed one night while in Kingston attending a family funeral. I had a bit of difficulty finding it because of one way systems and discrete signage. I got an early check in time which suited my schedule. . Being able to park in the forecourt and leave the car there for the duration of my stay was really good. I had a very friendly welcome.

The room was not spotlessly clean and the bathroom fittings were a bit precarious but for the price the stay was very good value.

It was only one night

Bed, uncomfortable, shower no temp control, tv was buffering, just felt like a run down bed sit. I asked for an iron and ironing board and the iron was burn and so used a pillow case to ensure I didn’t burn my shirt or stain it. However the staff were nice and helpful

Great location for travelling to Twickenham particularly! Parking spot was a bonus. Lovely friendly owners - nothing was too much trouble, gave us free bottles of water and drinks as it was a very hot day Beds were comfy and the linen was immaculately clean. TV’s and drink making facilities in rooms. We only stayed one night and for us it was fine just to lay our weary heads!

Rooms were incredibly hot - we had a fan and our windows open to produce some air! Our friend’s room window’s did not open at all - she did have a fan however. Decor and furniture is very dated, bathroom door was slightly broken in our room.

The location was close to where I was visiting.

Unfortunately, this house conversion did not meet the expectatins of even a cheap stay option. here was a smell of food that permeated the room, the sheets and pillows, that combined with the lavender? made sleepng uncomforatable.The room was ok for size, but the bed had a duvet cover that was stained, and the shower had 1 setting, scalding. There were light fitings on the wall over the bed that didnt work, and the bed itself creaked throughout the night. The receptionist was pleasant enough but unavailable to ask about changing the duvet cover. there were two shower gel sachets that looked like they had been picked up at another hotel and used there.

Good service. Box standard room for price
