Friendly hosts, very clean and breakfast also car park space on property

The only downside was no services to room, we stayed 3 nights and bins not emptied and towels were not changed coffee cups not changed

The welcome was great, Beverley explain all in detail and showed us routes and places worth visiting in Windermere. All staff were lovely. The breakfast was brilliant, lots of choices. The location was great, walking distance to the centre, there was a bus stop outside too. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the towels nice and soft. There was a lovely touch with a welcome drink of sherry in the room.

The room was not serviced during the whole time. The television was on the right hand side of the bed by the bed head, so very uncomfortable to watch. No social area to sit down in, so had to stay in the room if we didn’t go out.

Beverley was so welcoming, the suite we had was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The sherry was a lovely touch. We managed to get this room last minute as another hotel in the area had let us down. But staying at The Coppice made our trip super special. The location is great, Bowness and Windermere were so close to walk, as my mam had mobility problems we opted for the bus - the bus stops over the road and you can go anywhere for £3. We went to Grasmere one day. Beverley’s breakfast sets you up for the day, really tasty and she also provides jams, yoghurts, cereals and fruit. It’s the warm welcome that really makes this place, would highly recommend.

Room was smaller than it looked on the photographs. Tiles in shower was cracked and shower door didn’t close properly.
