The Coppice - including off-site health club

Clean and spacious. Great landlady who was very helpful. Delicious breakfast with plenty of choice

Had a fantastic stay at Coppice. Our hosts were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. Clean room and excellent breakfast. Location between Windermere and Bowness on Windermere is really convenient with choice of places to eat and drink. Would we go again? Absolutely!!

The Coppice was great. If I could criticise anything it would be the WiFi is a bit slow, but who needs WiFi when you have all that scenery to explore!

We received a cheerful and warm welcome from Beverley. She gave us a quick update on what to find where, both at The Coppice, and in Windermere, with some excellent suggestions on restaurants serving vegetarian food. Her recommendation was spot on! We had the most enjoyable stay at The Coppice (not forgetting the Sherry upon arrival in the room), and our trip to the Lake District was a memorable one. Thanks again, to Bev and Neil for being wonderful hosts.

The stay was brilliant,breakfast was very good, had every thing we needed,the bus service is excellant for getting out and about,,shower room a bit tight for for me,but managed ok .would come back again and again,"loved it "

Not a lot of dislikes to put down

A full English breakfast usually includes baked beans and hash brown which this didn't. Could take off what you didn't like but couldn't replace with something else. Location was good for Bowness and Windemere on bus route.

The window blinds could do with replacing as there were a few holes in them and a few cob webs not good for a deluxe room. Five cracked tiles in the shower cubicle.

The location is good, between Windermere town and the Lakeside.

Very long winded check in. Have to arrive before 7pm. Insinuated if traffic or other things happen on route then you are not getting in. Bed was old and had weird dips all over it. Hard and uncomfortable. Pillows are old and flat. Worst nights sleep in a long time. Told we are not allowed to bring food in. Told we have to order breakfast the day before. Told no changes to menu. Couldn't even have beans with a full breakfast, even though they are offered on the veggie option. Too many rules. Not enough comfort. We booked the garden room, cost more. It is a garden to the side that you have to walk round to access, not worth it. Other guests just walk into the garden too as it just says private on the gate. The floor boards above are so noisy in the annex too. I don't usually take much stock in reviews and give places a go, in this case they are spot on unfortunately.

Cleanliness of the room poor, pictures on the website are very different to what you actually see.
