Our stay at The Coal Merchant's House was extremely restful and comfortable. Linda, the host, was welcoming and helpful, and provided an excellent breakfast. The accommodation was impeccable, both clean and comfortable, with a wide range of hot drinks available in the room, along with fruit and bottled water available from the dining room downstairs. We will be sure to book in here again when next in the area and will be recommending The Coal Merchant's House to all our family and friends.

The accommodation is incredible! Linda and Dave were amazing hosts, very friendly and extremely helpful. The dining room is beautiful and the breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of food options. Our room was perfect and spotlessly clean and I'm sure the other rooms will be just as perfect. We will definitely book again next time we venture to the area.

The breakfast was beautiful, the room was so cozy with a fire on for when we got up. Plenty of tea, coffee and fruit juice available.

Couldnt fault anything!! Would definately stay again.

Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable. Lovely toiletries. The house felt very homely particularly at this time of year when decorated for Christmas.
