Mel was a lovely host and gave us a warm welcome. Traveling with friends, so I was able to see both large guest rooms, they were lovely with nice bathrooms. We were able to use a table downstairs in the evening to play cards games. Breakfast was the best. We were each able to choose from a long list of items. Yogurt, fresh berries, toast with jam, coffee and tea and delicious hot breakfast. A British brekky, or the eggs Benedict (I ordered these both mornings)nice healthy omelettes, my husband had the haddock, excellent he said. Great way to start the day! Would have liked a longer bed being tall.

Very warm, friendly greeting by Mel on our arrival. She also prepared tea or filter coffee for us accompanied by some lovely homemade cakes which was served in the lounge. There was a really good choice for breakfast which was well prepared and presented. The room was a lovely size, clean and with everything that we could possibly have wanted including a fridge with fresh milk, two easy chairs and lovely comfortable beds. The en- suite was far from small with a large shower.

The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortable with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Mel was thoughtful enough to ensure that she had catered for my husband's gluten free dietary needs, even with cakes he could enjoy too so I didn't have to eat alone. The breakfast was fabulous.
