Floating Paradise

Floating paradise is just amazing and peacefull, the view from the bungalows is like a dream. I recommend at 100% this place. Also, the breakfast and the dinner was delicious. Astrid and Tono are very accessible and it's very easy to speak with them about everything. Thanks you for everything.

What makes Floating Paradise so great aren’t just the incredible location, the turquoise water, the relaxing atmosphere, the activities/experiences right in front of your door (snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, glowing plankton, diverse fish) and the great food, but the people who make you feel at home in paradise right from the start. Thank you Tono, Astrid, Ali, Rama and Co for the wonderful experience, the conversations and the music. It was a highlight of our trip!

Can’t think of anything. The minor limitations that come with a remote location like these make you feel even more connected to the special surroundings.

The location is stunning and everything that is promised on the website. On the water, right near a reef. Free canoe to explore the bay…what’s not to like?!

It can get a bit warm at night under the mosquito net.

We were not lucky with the weather but when it’s raining (and it is not so unlikely) there is really nothing to do. The place is in the middle of nowhere, more than one hour walking from town on a bad road. You have to hire scooters or pay 150.000 idr for a car each way. Food nice but always cold. If you are many people, everyone has to agree on the same dish. Also considering this, prices for the food were very high compared to the town (95.000 idr per person whichever choice of food). The information came little by little, nothing was clear before booking. The sea is not so clean or inviting. We have done some kayaking (two single kayak available), but I would not swim there

Location is amazing. It’s in the middle of nature / paradise. As there are only (🙏🏻) three rooms available, it’s super calm and the best place for relaxation!

It’s a little bit overpriced (driver / food + 10 % tax are added at the end of the stay without information in advance) in comparison to other properties at the island. Probably, you pay the extra for the amazing view.

We absolutely loved our stay at Floating Paradise. The beautiful rooms are directly on the water in a small bay with mangroves all around. Perfect for those who look for a relaxing yet adventurous stay in Karimunjawa. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Several activities as well as lunch and dinner can be booked directly at the accommodation. Rooms run on solar power and the road is unlit at night but this is part of the experience.

I would add the possibility to have a worm shower but still everything was absolutely great

We are a family of three staying with Floating Paradise for 4 days. It's been an incredible experience! If you are looking for an off-the-beaten-track and relaxing stay, this is you destination. The owners Tono and Astrid are going out of their way to accommodate you and so will the kind staff. Upon arriving, we received an upgrade to the newly built family room, which features two separate rooms within the bungalow. Kayaking is free and great fun to explore the nearby mangroves, the small island ahead and Bobby Beach on the other side of the laguna. Snorkeling is fantastic here, as the coral reef can be found literally outside the bungalows. On the second day, we went on a boat trip to other islands, where we snorkelled at multiple gorgeous locations and ate lunch on a pristine and remote island - it was such an amazing day! The third day, Astrid took us onto a fun hike which rewarded us with breathtaking views over the island, ending at Bukit Love viewpoint. We also took advantage of Astrid being a certified Yoga teacher, having yoga lessons right by the dock as the sun set over the laguna - you really can't beat this setting. Our final day marked the end of Ramadan, so the entire family went out of their way and took us to town for a fun parade organized by the island community. A truly memorable experience! Thanks a bunch for your hospitality, we are leaving the island refreshed and with much love in our hearts.
