Thomas' Retreat Bukit Lawang

The room was cleaned very well, which was amazing how they keep the room well cared in the middle of jungle. The owner takes care of his guests well for what we need such as tours, transportations. All the staff were friendly and kind. Thanks to them I had a fantastic Bukit Lawang stay and a Jungle trek.

Staying at Tomas' Retreat was a dream! He and his staff help you and organize anything you need. He organized a pick up in Medan for me, the jungle trek and then a car back to Medan. The prices are totally reasonable for everything he offered. The jungle trek was an incredibly amazing experience that I will never forget. The hostel, the rooms and the restaurant are really nice as well and have everything you need. Lastly, the location is wonderful. Thank you for everything!

Room was in line with expectations and had all the necessities. Location in the village is nice with great view. Staff and owner are helpful regarding transport. Comfortable stay after jungle trek.

Don’t stay here if you do not book the tour with them. I felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Food wasn’t great, room was very warm (so don’t book the cheap room because that’s what you get then).

Thomas and his team and just great! They are helping you out with any question, may it be prior to or during your stay. The organized for time the transport from Medan as well as the Jungle Trek (do it definitely with Thomas Tours!!!) and the transport to the next destination! Go there if you are visiting Bukit Lawang!

Amazing place, the location is nice, the jungle trek to see the orangutans is great as well. I did the 3d2n with 2 other people and it was one of the best experiences ever (especially because of our guides, Erwin and Dondi!).
