"Brilliant"

10.0

We stayed at Latugu for three nights (March 18-21) and everything was exceptional. Very clean, well positioned, great breakfasts. The owner (Ngurah) is wonderful, he helped us organise tours and suggested local restaurants and walks that we could do during our stay depending on what we were interested in. And organising things through him worked out to save us money, based on what I could tell from talking to other people and what they were paying to do the same things. I honestly can't recommend highly enough, Latugu was such a highlight during our time in Bali.

"Lovely place to stay whilst in Ubud"

10.0

Me and my boyfriend stayed at Latugu for 7 nights and then returned for another 2 a few weeks later. The first 7 nights we stayed in the fan room and the later 2 we stayed in the air conditioned room. Both were equally lovely, if on a bit of a budget, fan room is fine, the patio is shaded so doesn't get too hot. Pros: the owner and staff are so welcoming, giving us tea on arrival (and whenever we wanted!) and showing us the local area, they recommended a really good restaurant near by called Bali Buda which I would recommend to anyone, the food is great and really healthy. It's good value for money, it's located a short walk from the centre, however there are lots of cheap, good restaurants on the road it's on. There's a lush Indian right next door and I'd recommend Mamas Warung too. Monkey Forrest road is a 10 min walk away. The free breakfast is great. They provide tour services and transport too, including moped rent. The property also has a picturesque garden. Cons: the fan room can get a little damp. Overall, great place to base yourself while in Ubud, really felt like home, hence why we returned!

"Amazing Place"

10.0

The owner and staff are wonderful. The location is great and there are different types of rooms for varying budgets, we stayed in the cheaper ones and loved it. You can always buy Coconuts, Coca Cola, and Water from the fridge for very cheap prices, making things very convenient. Breakfast consists of a bowl of sliced mixed fruits, hot tea, and an omelet or banana pancake. During our stay here they helped us purchase tickets to Gilli Islands, 1 million RP for 2 Return tickets on the fast boat. This is the best price you can get as a non local and our boat was one of the best. We were also able to leave alot of stuff at Latugu including or Scooter making the trip alot easier. We have stayed here for 1 week in the past and returned for another few days. Downtown Ubud is about a 10 minute walk. Mama Warung which is across the street (go to the closer 1 there's 2) and buy some of the best food in Ubud for the cheapest prices 20-25 idr per main meal.

"Hidden paradise "

10.0

Beautiful! We stayed here for 1 night and asked to stay another 4 because it was so perfect, at about $40 AUD $400000 IDR it was absolutely amazing! The room we had faced a beautiful forest which had 2 cute little squirrels in the trees every morning, the room has very good air conditioning (something we found hard to get in Bali!) a big bathroom, comfortable bed with mozzie nets which came in handy when it rained and the mozzies came out (the whole of bali has mozzies so don't let that change your mind). Breakfast with tea or coffee was included (nice and western eggs on toast and a bowl of fresh fruit salad). The centre, markets and shops are about a 4 min scooter ride. perfectly located not too far away from anything but not too close.. Nice restaurants on the same street for dinner, Places to pump up scooter tyres, laundry service right out the front and a convenience store at the end of the street. Though that's about it till you get to the centre. Oh and it's very close to the monkey forest! 🐒 The owner is most likely the best part! We found in Bali you can't have a conversation with Anyone! Without them trying to sell you something! So it was just perfect having a very good English speaking host that was very knowledgable, informative and more than happy to help with absolutely anything! Within minutes of getting there on our first night he asked us what we wanted to do in the area and suggested a few things. We asked if we could try white water rafting. within about an hour our white water rafting day was organised!! And cheap! Everywhere we looked was around $60 - $100 AUD each. he got it for us at $35 AUD each, including shuttle bus. The next day he gave us a hand drawn map of all the good places to go in the area! Very helpful! After that he booked us a boat to the Gili islands for more then half price of the cost anywhere else!.. We had the cheapest tickets and best boats there, and back. Not only did he continuously get us great prices on everything but let us leave ALL our luggage AND scooters there nice and safe while we enjoyed our trip.. When we came back he had our room ready to go if we wanted to stay again because it was late and the trip long and hot exhausting (if you make the mistake of sitting in the sun for the whole 2 hour trip). It was like we had our own little tour guid the whole time yet better, friendlier, more helpful and free We definitely recommend this place! though if you are the kind of person that hates looking at nature or any form of natural beauty I recommend you save yourself the complaining like other comments below and stay at the Hilton hotel or Hotel W $$$$$$

"Nice staff, nice room, nice location!"

10.0

The location of Latugu (how it's called nowadays) is awesome, it's a short 5 minute walk to Jalan Raya Ubud, so it's just out of the main road. The room is nice and tidy, with a private bathroom, which was also very clean. Everyday our bed was made, and breakfast is brought to your rooms terrace as soon as you've woken up. The owner is super friendly, and more than willing to help you out with your plans, or just to make an easy conversation about your day and travels. I would definitely go there again.

"Good location, super friendly and helpful owner& inexpensive"

10.0

I was meant to stay only three nights at Latugu home stay but ended up 5. It was really nice and peaceful there, especially with the jungle view. The owner was really friendly, welcoming and helpful- if you have any questions he always helps out and gives you recommdentations, without trying to sell you stuff like many other people. I got a map upon arrival which was so helpful to get organised. He also organised me a taxi and bicycle for a very cheap price. So glad I found that place. The room itself was spacious, simple and clean. Wifi was excellent. A big plus was also that it was close to yoga barn and radiantly alive (2 minutes by bike or 10 by feet). I would definitely go back.

"It's called Latugu now."

8.0

This place is called Latugu now and we stayed here for 4 nights. They were just finishing 2 new rooms when we were there. We really liked this place since it's quiet. The rooms are simple but adequate and very reasonably priced. The manager was helpful and friendly.
