Rain Forest Guest House and Jungle Trekking

The accommodation was good. We had a room with balcony with the river view. The staff was friendly and kind. They also provided transfer from Medan airport for 700k. We booked two days jungle track with a guide. We saw orangutans and other animals. Be prepared for a quite hard hike through the jungle (but it’s worth it). We slept in quite and super romantic place by the river under the shelter. We also had a mosquito net around our sleeping place, but be prepared for uninvited jungle guests like spiders or other insects. Our guide with the cook prepared really delicious food with candles for us with respect to our vegetarian/gluten free preferences. We recommend this experience for 100%.

We have nothing to complain about, just mins its jungle not easy walk in zoo.

The room was very cheap but it is reflected in the size which was small. A matrass on the floor and a chair where the only items of furniture and the room was dark and a wooden box. I didnt notice a fan on the wall until the morning but the electricity in the village went out anyway so not used. clean but sparse would be an apt description, I would recommend paying for a better room in future and will return at some point.

Super sweet family owned homestay who makes you feel right at home! The room was simple and spacious with a good bed. Recommend to do the jungle tour with the guides of the homestay, they are lovely and know everything about the jungle! Also the food they prepare in the jungle is just unbelievably good. The homestay has a great garden to workout or chill right at the river. all in all a 10/10 !!

the staff was very friendly. one of them waited for me the whole day at the bus station many hours but I arrived with the car .. a big offer of breakfast

there was a karaoke at the night (Tuesday) till 1am and it was so loud, I count sleep and that was very bad. felt like they did the karaoke in our room.

Everything ! People are so kind and helpful. Food is excellent. Everything is clean. The garden is next to the river (and the local beach/ wakeboard) and looks beautiful. They organise great trekks experiences as well. Our journey here was amazing and we wished we had more time to stay

had a pleasant stay. the staff was super kind & having booked the jungle trekking tour (3 days, 2 nights) with rainforest guest house was the best idea as well. had the best tour guides- truly 2 jungle men ◡̈ very thankful for this adventure. the guesthouse is right at the river and the rooms are very comfy. nice hang out area. bathroom very clean incl. toilet paper. will come back!

Bukit Lawang us a wonderful town and not as touristic as other places in Indonesia. The communication with the people from rain forest guest house was easy and fast and they helped us to organize a bus to Medan, a hostel there and they also organize jungle Trekkings. the staff was really nice, the food was great and the atmosphere was very familiar. Perfect location for backpackers!
