Junia Guesthouse Bukit Lawang

Beautiful location on the quiet side of the river and beautiful gardens surrounding the property. Great food and friendly staff

There was a loud party nearby on Saturday night 10pm- 3am (apparently every Saturday night) so bring earplugs if you’re staying, not partying and wish to sleep on Saturday evening.

I would recommend the Junia Guesthouse and the Jungle trekking we booked throught them to everyone. The Guesthouse was clean, nice and has good food. The people are very nice and made the experience 10 times better. We loved the music and evenings with Junia. The Jungle trekking was amazing. We saw Orang Oetans, Gibons and way more monkeys. Our guide, Andre and the assistent guide, Dika made the experience even more amazing. They were very professional and told us a lot of interesting facts about the jungle.

Absolutly everything and everybody. Very helpfull and comprehensive, and always with the smile. I would certainly come back.

Our trekking guide Armand for the day trek was inconsiderate. He would start talking and explaining things without waiting for the entire group. He also kept calling me baby, which, if it wasn't for the fact that he also called the guys in our group baby, was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. He rushed and ran through the entire thing, I am in very good shape and it was difficult for me to keep up with his pace. Would not recommend the trek with the homestay.

Such a beautiful guesthouse! The whole team is amazingly kind and can help you with everything you need to explore Bukit Lawang. They organised a perfect 3-day jungle trek with a great guide, Nu, and Mr Don prepared amazing meals for us even in the remote jungle areas. Highly recommend!

Perfect location, beautiful accomodation and people. We did a jungle trek with Andre and he made it such a good experience, we were so lucky to have him.

The staff go out of their way to assist you in anyway possible. They organise any outing and the treks through the jungle. They meet any request that you have. By the end of your stay you will be part of the Junia family. Also the food is amazing.

I stayed at Junia either side of a jungle trek and really enjoyed my stay as it was relaxing and social. From the moment you arrive you are made to feel welcome by the friendly staff. The rooms are fine, the food excellent and the location is very good too. I also did the 3 day 2 night trek through Junia too and got the experience I was after.
