Salisbury Guest House - free parking

Great value for money, Very Clean.

As we are both in our late 70s we found the mile long walk into town, in February, just a little too long for comfort.

Location is close to town / train station Ample street parking, local corner shop close by. Easy and clear instructions on how to enter the property. Room was clean and tidy and big enough for a night or two visit

Beside lamp would be nice addition to room and traffic noise was minimal from 10 pm till 6 am even tho it’s on main one way route to town , and we were in room 5 downstairs. Ignore other reviews on traffic noise

The room was in our price range for a 1 nights stay

The room was far to warm & when the light went off it's dark. Please consider a fan & a small lamp.

Great location for walking into the city. On street parking was okay this time. No time limits apart from check out during our stay. Plenty of tea and coffee but we took extra powdered milk.

Unless you specify ground floor there are steep stairs. On suite was adequate but small.

Good location for my needs. Comfortable warm room.

Access via back lane. 2nd gate had troublesome lock. Hot water didn't come through.

I loved the cosiness of the room, small, but the space was utilised well, we had everything we needed.

The TV was a little hit and miss, kept turning off or losing signal. The people in the room next door were in and out of their room till the early hours, and wasn't very quiet when opening and closing their door. As a result, sleep wasn't too good.

The room was well equipt and the space was well used to get the most from the room. The guesthouse was is well situated about 30 mins walk from the centre of York.

The extractor fan in the bedroom stayed on for 20 minutes after the light is turned off, which felt very long and loud in the night when trying to sleep.
