Good hosts - they enjoy having conversations and make sure the stay is comfortable Good food too.

This place is a gem, I loved the uniqueness of it. This is a family home that was built a long time ago and has history. The owners have renovated the property at great expense to make it very comfortable for guests. I particularly like the courtyard, it was quiet and very relaxing. I've never particularly liked the corporate style hotels even when they have more facilities, so this place was a real breath of fresh air.

Not really anything, it won't have a great selection of breakfast or evening meal options due to it being a small family place, but even then the food was great.

Ambiance très familiale et cookcooning. J'ai eu l'impression d'être chez l'habitant, chambre d'hôte 👍 Cadre soigné et trés agréable. Un petit bémol sur le prix qui est plus cher que tous les "aveli héritage" que j'ai choisi pour découvrir le Gujarat...

Le prix pourrait être plus bas de 15 à 20€ par rapport aux hôtels environnants...

Everything was more than fine

Madhav Bagh is a Haveli style house with a beautiful inner courtyard, where you can forget you are in a large city as traffic noise is subdued and bird song is more noticeable. The rooms are beautifully spacious with ample changing space and sensational bathrooms. The breakfast is made to order and varies day by day. With only four rooms available to guests this is more of a homestay where you get to meet the hosts and learn about the history of the family.

The hosts do have 3 dogs which they do keep separate from the guests but this does limit use of the garden space especially the private gated spaces off the rooms. One of our nights was disturbed by howling dogs from the near by society (block of flats).

Very charming

Charmante Gastgeberin, die leider nur kurz präsent war. Es handelt sich um ein historisches Gebäude, das aber insgesamt sehr shabby war.

Unser Zimmer war sehr düster ohne Fenster. Es gab eine Tür zum Garten, der aber der Bereich der Hunde war und recht verwahrlost. Der Kettle funktionierte nicht, Nachtischlampe ohne Glühbirne und der Abfluss der Dusche war verstopft. Das einzige Personal war schwer aufzufinden, reagierte sehr widerwillig und seine Freundlichkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Keinerlei Interesse an den Gästen und Service komplette Fehlanzeige . Am Morgen wurden wir weder gefragt ob wir einen Tee möchten oder wir Hilfe bei unserem Gepäck wünschen. Für den Preis von über 7000 Rupien ist dieser Service eine absolute Frechheit. Wir können diese Unterkunft nicht empfehlen und haben uns nicht willkommen gefühlt

This is such a special place! Nothing like an impersonal business hotel. I have been welcomed by the owner of the mansion and his wife. Both were very friendly and kept me company during breakfast and the excellent diners by chatting with me. This is very much appreciated when traveling alone. The service provided by the housekeeper, Gaurav, was also worthy of a five-star hotel. Many thanks to the entire team, and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Vadodara.
