Fantastic landscape view to the waterfall and the surrounding valley, good rooms, very good and plenty of breakfast and amazing and friendly employees, helping with tours, information, low cost transportation, carrying luggage, take away sandwiches early in the morning on departure day instead of breakfast, 10 minutes walk along the railway tracks to Ella center, and availability on whats app for any inquiries.

This is an amazing place in every way. First of all, the guys who work there are amazing, very helpful, great cooks, they take care of the place and the people. We arrived very late, around 9pm, and it was no problem for them and they cooked us dinner. In addition, this beautiful balcony with a wonderful view and the sounds of nature in the evening. We sat on the balcony until late in the evening. I highly recommend this place. I will definitely stay there when I am in Sri Lanka.

No AC, need to agree for breakfast time and takes long time (time lost in the morning)

Breathtaking views, great place to stay if your goal is to get up and go and not sit around the hotel all day. Very close to Ella Rock. Don’t pay more then 500Rs for a Tuk-Tuk to Little Adams Peak.

The view

The Rock Grand View in Ella is a small Hotel with 3 rooms. The rooms are most comfortable, clean, and the view from the balcony is breathtaking. The home-made breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka and the stuff is extraordinary friendly. The hotel can be reached easily by TukTuk and you can also walk next to the rail to Ella center in less than 10 minutes. Thanks a lot for the hospitality! We will definitely come again and bring more time to enjoy this beautiful house and friendly environment!

We enjoyed the great view from our room and balcony at a waterfall and Ella Rock very much. Eyerthing was there, Shampoo, Towels, Coffee and Tea for a hot Drink, Mosquito Net, Fan, Hairdryer and the bed was comfortable. The Place is quite, but central. We walked on a path next to the railway to Ella in 10 Min. Ramesh explaind us the way to the Nine Arche Bridge, the little Adams Peak and Ella Rock. For a Tour in the Tea factory he organised us a Tuktuk and to get to our next Stay a Driver. Breakfast was Great Webers morning. Nice Place to stay in Ella!

Nothing to complain about.

A lovely property. Clean rooms, large comfortable beds with amazing views. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. It’s a very good 2/3* rustic boutique hotel. Good hot showers. The balcony was large and just spectacular vistas

A small guest house with 3 rooms in a stunning location and I would highly recommend you are up to watch the sunrise over Ella Rock from the balcony one morning. Dumidu is super friendly and will do everything to make your stay special including drawing a map of the route to Ella Rock and preparing fantastic food. It is only a short walk into town along the railway line where you have the busy main road and bars and restaurants to hand although we had one of the best Sri Lanka curries of our trip at Grand View so no need to venture out after a hard days hiking if the legs are tired.

Not as close to the city center as I had hoped. Walking to town isn’t really an option. Hotel offered food but it was very simple, nothing to write home about. Also, it only accepts cash but is not close to an ATM.
