"A wonderful stay with welcoming guests and very nice food"

Very good experience at Sunset Guest House ! We arrived by public boat to Bunaken and the guest house it situated just a few meters from the arrival point. The tenants are very welcoming and can propose you tours to go snorkeling or dolphin watching. What surprised me the most was the food which was the best we had in Indonesia, and we’ve been here for 2 months. I cannot recommend this guest house enough. We spent 4 nights in total here and it was a bliss.

The food was excellent and the accommodation was really clean. The host were helpful and genuine

it’s quite noisy in the mornings but if you are getting up to dive it doesn’t really matter.

"Best Value"

One of thel best value stays we have had in over 30 years backpacking. From the welcome as we were met at the public boat, to the farewell at the boat again everything was fantastic. Everyone mentions the food and we would have to agree - some of the best we have had in Indonesia. The room and shared lounge, dining and balconies were very comfortable and the snorkelling trips amazing. We even went dolphin spotting and saw what we estimate to be 75-100. A truly locally owned homestay full of warmth and pride in their community. We cannot thank you enough for welcoming us into your home.

Nothing not to like but can be a little noisy at night if things are happening in the village.
