Amazing low-key location right on the beach in Amed. Rooms facing the beach are very quiet, away from street noise. Very clean and professionally run, great bathroom, fantastic value. Wayan (innkeeper) took me out on his boat for a very special snorkeling and fishing adventure that included a giant sea turtle. Super value, reasonably priced. Great breakfast included at beach-front picnic table. Overall 10 stars.

Central location in Amed, hosts are wonderful and helpful, loved eating breakfast on the beach looking at the sunrise.

Bathroom facilities are subpar - no shower heads or faucets, just spouts from the wall, hot water lasts for 3-5 minutes, just a bar of soap provided, door doesn't close fully. Cash only payment.

I had never stayed at a homestay before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect - but Bubu Racok Homestay completely set the bar. Wayan was an incredible host, as were his family and the friends who help out around the property. The room was spacious, clean, and cozy, with tea and coffee available just outside in a thermal pot so I could make drinks whenever I liked. Breakfast was always delicious - my favorite was the pancake served with a plate of fresh fruit and daily juice. I also had dinner there on a few evenings, which was just as tasty and made with care. One of the highlights was the beautiful view of the beach in the “backyard,” perfect for both sunrise and sunset, with Mount Agung in the distance. The location was great too, with several warungs nearby and a market just down the street for anything I needed. Wayan also offers a variety of activities like snorkeling and fishing trips. I joined a peaceful early morning fishing trip—it was such a memorable experience. We caught fish and even had a dolphin swimming nearby, adding a little magic to the day. I ended up extending my stay by a night and would’ve happily stayed longer if I didn’t already have other non-negotiable plans. This homestay truly felt like a little home away from home and I'm looking forward to returning next year!

We loved our stay at this lovely homestay on the beach in Amed with the friendly Bubu Racok family. Highlights: 1.) The delicious freshly prepared banana pancakes and fresh fruit for breakfast, which we enjoyed overlooking the calm waters of the Bali Sea. 2.) Watching Wayan return from his fishing trip with the catch of the day, which you can enjoy BBQ'd at the end of the day if you would like - highly recommended - the Giant Trevally was very tasty! 3.) Snorkelling boat trip with Wayan's son - lots of colourful fish and turtles. 4.) Chatting with the family about life in Amed. Location is great - right on the beach with great snorkelling right in front of the property and close by to plenty of restaurants and shops too. Highly recommend a stay here - the family are lovely and friendly. Thank you :)

The staff is probably the most polite and helpful I came across in my 3 months across south east Asia!! They really make you feel at home. Delicious breakfast & Great beach view.

Only recommendation is to shorten the tree in front of the rooms

Bubu Racok was the best homestay I had in Bali (and been travelling over a month!), and such good value for money too! And Amed exceeded my expectations- if you’re still having doubts just do it! I had the room overlooking the mountain, which was huuge and had a super nice comfy bed in the balcony 😍 The location is great!! You can snorkel just in front of the house!! The family was super attentive, you get breakfast at anytime of the day 😍, and they help you with snorkelling tours, or car/motorbike service etc. My favourite was one of the daughters in law who drove me to Lahangan Sweet, came with me, and took pics of me, all for a super reasonable price! When I left they all came to say goodbye 🥹 Highly recommend!
