Excellent location and a wonderful host.

location location location. ideally situated in old town just steps from the Ghats. The proprietor is beyond helpful. he and his staff of 2 ran errands for me, arranged for me to see a doctor when I got a nasty respiratory infection. The property itself consists of a 4 level building with 4 guest rooms occupying the second and third floors. I was extremely comfortable. The building is renovated and there are some interesting quirks like the bathrooms have an opening to the air shaft. The staff are onsite and occupy the first floor rooms.

It got rather cold in our room but we were there during winter time. The bathroom is also connected to the room next door’s bathroom so you could hear everything from their bathroom

Very nice place to stay in Varanasi! The owner was very nice with us, made us feel like we were at home. Also, best location, comfortable bed, clean room, hot shower, and they provide transport to/from airport if needed. Highly recommended. We will come back!

Vishnu is a very nice host that will want to make sure you re enjoying and getting the most out of your stay. He'll know or work with people that can either guide you, do a boat tour etc... The place is located in the heart of the old town, were it's best to hang out. Also, he does the best chai ever!

Be sure to have earplugs with you, the location makes it a bit noisy at night (the room is not very sound proofed). But it was fine for me with them.

The most important thing which everyone will love about the property is the owner Vishnu. He is just an amazing human being and in today's time where everyone tries to thug you with fake concept of making payment for various religious things, comes in Vishnu bhaiya who doesn't even charge any extra penny for all the services he provides. I had the best time in Varanasi and he helped me with everything - to planning my Ganga bath, to Ganga Aarti in the evening, to helping me with the process of Kashi Vishawanath Temple visit, to Making me eat at the best locations at Varanasi, to taking you from every inn road of kashi to see the city by foot. He also helped me with the process to go the other temples like - Sakshi vinayak, Kaal bhairav, Maha Mrintyunjayan temple, Sankat mochan, Durga devi, BHU Mahadev and lot more. He has been one of the best and most honest Host i have every met or seen. The crowd at this guest house is more of foreigners. The rooms are well kept and spacious for 2 people. The lanes of kashi are very small and the route to the hotel also make you go through those small lanes and gives you a very amazing heritage feeling. His property is just like 3 minute walk to Dashashwamedh Ghat where the Ganga Aarti happens and Kashi Vishawanath temple gate 2 is just 7 minute walk. His whole family come to your help if your require anything specific. he even helps for airport pick up and drop and doesn't charge any extra money to help you. In today world such good people are hard to find. I would recommend - solo travelers and couples to go stay at his place and explore kashi in a perfect way which he will plan for you. A minimum of 2 full days are needed to see the place.

Everything was just perfectly kept and done. Nothing u can dislike. Yes, if you want five star or three star hotel services and things like that then you should go for the hotels which are far from the main sightseeing places. But if you need to be in the vibe and energy of the city then stay at Maa Durga INN.

Its been pleasent stay. I was with my family and grandmother was there. He took lots of care of everyone.
