Maa Durga Inn

Staff helped me with everything they provided water Bottle, Bathing Towel, Kettle for hot water, TV and Air Conditioner was there in the room and they maintained really well. Just 50mtrs from Dashashwamedh Ghat. 40mtrs from Maa Varahi Devi Temple. 100mtrs from Vishalakshi temple. 200mtrs from Maa Annapurna Temple. Gadowli Shopping road was also just walkable distance.

Everything was good. No complaints

Size of the room should be extended. Good size mirror should be there instead of very smaller one.

Steep stair case is painful for older person.

Vishnu is an amazing host that will fulfill all your requests.

- Staff is a local guide: really helpful and available to provide any support, help or provide additional packages (tours, trips etc). - Room and toilets as per good Indian standards

Complex to find at first. I added the location in google to help future hosts.

This property seems overpriced

Vishnu is very friendly and exceptionally helpful with advises and arranging things e.g. boat ride. We stayed only one night but Vishnu help us made most of it. We booked the non-AC room and got a free upgrade to the AC room

Hotels rooms were ok. Location is good and it is very near to Kashi Vishwanatha temple gate and Dasashwamedh Ghat.

Maa Durga is not a hotel where they take care about you only during the check in and check out. Vishnu the owner makes all the difference, he’s caring for the guests in the best way possible during the stay. Great location.

Great location, basic but comfortable room and awesome host (Vishnu). Vishnu's place is good value for money in Varanasi, but Vishnu as a host is invaluable. He is friendly, provides a lot of good information and advice - he really knows the area well and I would recommend other guests to pay attention to his advice because everything he told us (about scams, traffic etc) came true. We would have missed our train because of traffic and road blockages if Vishnu had not warned us about needing to leave early.

Be aware that the rooms are in the hosts home, there isn't good sound insulation so it can get quite loud when people are communicating in common areas. Bathroom is very basic and could be cleaner.

It was very quiet, even though only two minutes walk from main ghat and during festival time. It was in a good location with many restaurants and ghats nearby.

There were some plumbing issues in the bathroom but they were fixed quickly. Some construction going on meant that there was dust in the air and in the room. The hostel manager was kind but very pushy for us to give 10/10 review.
