I had a wonderful stay at the Bar Convent Guest House. The place was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, which made it immediately comfortable. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff, everyone from reception to the breakfast team was welcoming and helpful. A special mention to the lovely elderly lady from the shop who kindly walked me in when I arrived—such a thoughtful gesture that made a great first impression.

"Unique stay with friendly staff."

The staff was friendly. The size of the room was good.

Even though there is a lift, it doesn’t go up to the third floor. With heavy luggage, this was definitely inconvenient.

Stayed here for two nights. Excellent location right next to the city centre and train station. Breakfast is continental but you can order breakfast which is served in the cafe. Beautiful building. The staff are excellent too. They have a self catering room with fridge/freezer/oven etc plenty of crockery and cutlery plus seating area and table and chairs. They also provide an iron and ironing board in the same room. I can't say enough positive things about this place.

I liked the fact that it was an active convent and to have the opportunity to stay at a place with so much history.

The room was quite hot and we were unable to open the window, but once we set up the air con it was a lot better.
