Peacock Guest House - Lake View Hotel In Udaipur

The view was exceptional, staff were very accommodating and friendly. Location is perfect, very central, easy to get everywhere on foot.

The rooms did not feel very clean, but after mentioning it to the staff they immediately responded.

The view is amazing from the room.

The room service and the A.C is not working all the time .

The room and the bed were comfortable. The view was great from the balcony. Could be a chill stay for couples and groups of friends.

The washroom was very small and congested. The see-through doors could be a privacy issue for some. The food at the hotel did not match the expectations, it was below average. No lift, you have to climb up the narrow stairs to your rooms which are mostly on the 3rd and 4th floor.

This family run homestay is brilluant, the father and son team, plus their colleagues were absolutely amazing, and went out of their way to name sure we had everything we needed. The balcony area and views from the roof top cafe were out of this world!

Small bathroom, but that can't be helped in India.

We liked the closeness to the city palace and the views on Pichola Lake from the balcony.

We didn't like the noise at night from the restaurant upstairs and many surrounding bars and party places. Our rooms were much too high : 70 steps to climb to get there! Difficult, though the staff helped us with our luggage. Bad smell coming from the bathroom too. The doors with padlocks, not very convenient.

A hotel run by an incredibly friendly family. The best view of any udaipur rooftop, and I visited quite a few. No other place beat this hotels roof top. Amazing location 5 minutes away from city palace, bangore ki haveli and can walk to anywhere you need to visit in the old city and across the bridge. Clean room. Good value for money

What a great location with a top view over the lake. Roshi met us on arrival and he was an excellent host. Thankfully, his boys were there to carry our bags to our rooms. We were up about 4 flights. We were 1 floor from rooftop and despite the cold, we enjoyed our evenings playing cards, a few drinks , and admiring the scenery. The rooms were comfortable, smallish but not an issue. We wanted 1 room with twin beds which they organised in a flash. No problem. In fact any request they were so helpful. The location was good with lake nearby and plenty of interesting shops. Depending on your mode of transport you may need a Tuktuk to get close to the hotel but not an issue. Roshi mentioned that they should have a lift installed later in the year.

Maybe the bathroom needed a bit of improvement but they were clean and just fine for use
