The person was a old man, he is very polite and kind man. He gave us gifts while check out.

Amazing host, despite the language barrier, he was incredibly helpful and the nicest person. He really cares about his hosts enjoying Kyoto and exploring his city. It was a unique occasion to experience a traditional Japanese house, and the neighbourhood is fantastic for a quiet stay.

I liked everything, but it's not a house for everyone, as the host only speaks Japanese, and you share the facilities with him.

1. 房子在京都二條城旁邊的巷子裡，很寧靜，離二條城也很近，正是我想要的居住環境。 2. 房子很古老，聞起來就像是在京都巷子會聞到的木頭味，我很享受這個味道。 3. 房東很用心，如同其他評價一樣，房東會盡最大的細心和努力來接待客人。這也是我首次和日本長輩有這麼多的交流。

1. 希望房間內能準備一些瓶裝水，還有能夠加熱水的工具（我找不到），才能夠體驗到房間的茶包們。 2. 因為是傳統的房子，房門設計和吊燈都偏矮，而我身高比較高，不小心會撞到木頭滑門的頂部。

Great place, spacious rooms, cheap, and a great host, will stay again next time I'm in kyoto

An experience you won’t get anywhere else. Such a beautiful historical home, with the loveliest host. He loves the history of Kyoto and welcomes you kindly. He will tell you everything you need to know about the house and surrounding areas. Don’t be overwhelmed by the information he gives you, all it does is help make the trip seamless! Communication is key 🥰 I wish I was able to spend more time with the host to chat, but sadly we missed each other on my way out. Upstairs you have a little fridge and kettle etc so you can sleep eat and relax upstairs at the home. Beds are cleaned daily at no extra costs. Even as a solo woman travelling, I was comfortable and safe 🥰

The host is very kind and happy to help. The location is nice and quiet. I recommend it!

Katsura-San is one of the sweetest hosts I’ve ever met. You are truly staying in his home, which makes the stay all the more authentic and lovely. He cares deeply about his guests and you can tell he wants you to experience all the best parts of Kyoto. I let him know where I was thinking of going and he shared some informational videos he had recorded and took the time to chat with me as well. He is great about your privacy and strives to provide all that you need for your stay. If you want the real Kyoto experience, I couldn’t recommend his place more!
