The meals (traditional Japanese) are lovingly prepared and deservedly being awarded top marks, even for the most insatiable taste buds and critical foodies. I received nothing but warmth reception and communication by my hosts, who took care of my wellbeing to ensure I have the best experience as a guest staying at their traditional Gazzho-zukuri home.

This place is fantastic. I will have the most wonderful experience in Japan here. You will be in a World Heritage house, with very very kind and helpful owners, eating the best food you can imagine and having a great Japanese experience!!

This was the absolute highlight if our trip to Japan. To stay is Gasho of this quality is an absolutely unique experience. The family that runs it are so inviting and so knowledgeable about the food they prepare and harvest. A magnificent and unique experience!

Pillow was too low and soft. Heater uses diesel and has diesel smell when it starts.
