Loft Taipas

Well presented, huge apartment with just about every amenity one could want. Nice touch with Pasteis de Nata and port left for us - and a coffee machine ! Lovely and helpful host - Laura.

Unfortunately the narrow lane/junction road noise went on generally until midnight and sometimes a bit later. We probably noticed this more because we live in a very quiet country lane ! Although some of the antics of the drivers trying to negotiate the sharp bend was very entertaining.

Wonderful apartment in a great location for exploring the area. Claudia is the perfect hostess, and really has thought of everything to make a stay here comfortable. We were left delicious pastries and a bottle of tasty port wine, milk, juice, cheese and ham in the fridge. Plus bread and extra bread in the freezer. The kitchen has all utensils you may need, and a washing machine and dishwasher. Easy walking distance to the river, bridge or the tower and markets. We loved our stay here, and would happily stay again.

Laura met us at the flat and was very kind and hospitable, stating in touch over WhatsApp to check we were ok over the stay. We loved how big and clean the place is, and how every little thing had been thought of (everything from shower gel to dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent). Some food was provided - including a homemade orange cake and bottle of Port wine! Definitely the best apartment stay we’ve ever had. Kitchen was wonderfully equipped with all appliances. Ideal family stay.

Our hostess Laura was quick and easy to communicate with, she was very accommodating. She is most generous in setting up the loft with everything you’d need for a very comfortable stay. Shampoo, soap, lots of towels, blow dryer. Kitchen fully stocked including some port wine, expresso for the mornings and food to start the day right. We loved sitting on the wee balconies enjoying the action and drinking wine.

Great location, very well outfitted, had everything you would need

Very noisy with traffic and construction

Loft Taipas was the perfect size for our family of three adults and was in the ideal location for walking to everything we planned to see in Porto. Laura was wonderful and full of helpful advice on places to eat and things to do. Porto wine, pastries and breakfast items were a wonderful treat. Taberna Santo Antonio around the corner was delicious and worth the wait!

I think this is Porto in general and not specific to Loft Taipas, but parking is tough - street parking may be available but has to be paid every few hours and there is a lot within walking distance by the river, but it is pretty expensive. It is probably best without a car but if you do have one, plan on dropping off your luggage, and have someone stay with it or take it upstairs, before you park.

Well equipped and food plus port left to enjoy. Good size and near center of the city.

Too bright lighting

The apartment was beyond our expectations, we enjoyed playing pool in the apartment during the rain. Every place we wanted to see was in walking distance. Hopefully we will return again.

It was an excellent stay! Our host Claudia was just wonderful. Commumications with her was very good. When she picked us at the airport, she even brought us along the seaside to get a preview of the coast. The loft was superb, very spacious and nicely decorated. The provided daily breakfast in the fridge was great. Location is ideal - walking distance to all attractions in the city. I will highly recommend Claudia's loft.
