Beautiful spacious and clean apartment and friendly hosts! Breakfast items were provided as well as complimentary port wine (much appreciated!). Beds were sufficient and quite comfortable. The presence of a washing machine was great for us, having small children. Because of the children, we also appreciated the presence of a smart tv and of a small library that included travel as well as children's books. Location is optimal, inside the historical centre, close to important sights, restaurants, etc. Overall, I loved the property and would stay there again if we are ever back in Porto.

Some of the bed cushions were not as comfortable. As this is a rather old property, the windows did not help with outside noise (especially relevant when there's rain and stormy weather). Apartment is on the first floor and there's no elevator, so we had to carry our strollers up and down every day (not a big deal, but good to know if you have accessibility issues)

Upon our arrival, the owner's mother greetin us with a scrumptious homemade cake and a bottle of exquisite and tasty Porto wine awaiting us in the apartment. She took her time to show us how to use each electrical appliance, ensuring we felt fully at ease. There was a Good free WIFI at the apartment. The apartment, located on the first floor without an elevator, was both spacious and ideally situated. A brief 9-minute walk brought us to the nearest Minipreso supermarket. The automatic heating system kept the apartment comfortably warm at all times. The quality of sleep was unparalleled, thanks to an exceedingly comfortable bed and plush pillows. We were also pleased to find an ample supply of clean towels and linens at our disposal. An enjoyable addition was the snooker table, which provided some leisurely fun. The diligence of the owner's mother was evident as she checked in on us every few days with messages, kindly offering restaurant recommendations. Midway through our stay, a cleaning service was arranged to tidy the apartment and refresh the linens. On our departure day, she thoughtfully allowed us an extended stay of 3 hours to accommodate our next check-in time at 3:00 PM. Having experienced three different accommodations in Porto, I can unequivocally state that this Loft Taipas apartment was the pinnacle of our stays. It comes with my highest recommendation for anyone looking for an exceptional Porto experience.

* The apartment absolutely exceeded our expectations! The size was much bigger than what we thought from the photos. * The furnishing and decoration give the place a very personal touch and makes it extremely comfortable, feeling like a real home. * Communication and interaction with the lovely and caring owner (respectively her mother) was superb. * The location is simply amazing, in the middle of the city center, just a few min. on foot from several beautiful miradors. * We probably never came across such an unbelievably equipped kitchen! * The breakfast was also very nice, we boosted it a bit with our own food stuff (veggies, eggs, etc.) :)

Nothing really to complain about. Only to mention that given the central location on a steep hilly road, the noises from the street can be rather audible, so if you are a light sleeper, better you bring earplugs. Finding all the light switches is a rather funny and adventurous endeavor ;))
