Amalia Guesthouse is set in a charming, typical Portuguese house—narrow and tall, full of character. The location is absolutely perfect, within walking distance to all the main attractions. The owner was very kind and even let us leave our luggage until the afternoon, as we had a late flight. Definitely recommend!

Beautiful room and bathroom in a very convenient location with great public transport near by. There is also a shared kitchen. The only thing, as the others also mentioned is that is noisy from the outside and also from the stairs and upstairs. Also as two females it was a bit uncomfortable to walk to the location, we felt a bit unsafe.

-There was no double bed (just two single beds) -Noise coming from the upstairs room and the stairs

Great location - close to Rossio Sq/Metro, wasn't difficult to find, instructions checking in was easy to follow.

I didnt sleep well due to the bed I think, can't be sure. But also I am a very light sleeper, and you can hear everything through the walls/stairs/corridors, so do bring ear plugs. The aircon in my room (3) worked when it felt like it, being there in February it wasn't an issue but I would be very annoyed if it was summer/warm and the aircon worked when it wanted e.g. it would be on but not show the temp on the display or even open the fan to swing despite turning on/off.
