Suites Amália Guesthouse near Rossio Square

The place was great and we love it. Very near to the Rossio Square and metro.

The location to get there was little weird.

Clean comfortable. Good location. Shared Kitchen on ground floor with fridge, free tea, coffee and assorted breakfast rolls and cakes.

Superior suite was up three flights of narrow stairs, would be good if the floor level was stated in the description. Location half way up steep hill but that is just Lisbon.

Cheap and cheerful

For the price, it was great. The bed was comfortable and the space was clean. It had everything we needed without the fluff. We were able to do laundry and dry it with the help of the staff. It was easy enough to get to nice brunch spots and tourist areas.

As a light sleeper, it was tricky because you can hear the stairs easily and other guests talking in the common spaces. I also wouldn’t necessarily recommend it to solo women as the street at night is full of men. It is also up a steep hill, typical for Lisbon, but wouldn’t be a recommendation for those with mobility issues.

The room was spacious enough, well decorated with a nice view over the red roofs of Lisbon. Beds were exceptionally comfortable, towels extremely white like new. Our room was on the 3rd floor, en suite with a walking shower. Very clean and with an air condition unit. We liked the communal area with a fully equipped kitchen, where you can have a small breakfast (cereal, coffee, cookies) for free. Excellent communication with the host, easy access to the property (code and keys). The location is perfect, close to the metro station, shops and restaurants nearby. Just be aware that you need to climb to the place on the lovely hill streets. Perfect for short or longer stays in Lisbon.
