Alpine Guesthouse

Awesome location, only a few hundred metres from the Kitanomine Gondola. Rooms, facilities and bathrooms were always super clean. Good kitchen area for preparing your own meals if you wanted to. Only a short walk to Lawsons convenience store. Owner was strict but really helpful. You can also buy lift ticket vouchers through the guesthouse owner for JPY6,000 a day and save JPY 1,000 per day. There is a good coffee shop on the way to the Gondola (Ronin Cafe) and they have a van at the Gondola (Rojo coffee)

No Onsen but that is fairly typical for most Furano accommodation and there is a bathhouse at the hotel straight across from the Alpine Guesthouse you can use for JPY 500 (so not really an issue). There are only a few places to eat nearby (just a couple of minutes walk) but you have to get in early like 5:30 to 6pm to get a table and by 8ish they are closing shop. Downtown Furano is a short bus trip or taxi ride (JPY 1500 for taxi).

Great spot, affordable and good lounge to meet fellow boarders. Hero was extremely accommodating. I will be back.

Book a room away from the kitchen if you like sleeping late.

Good location, friendly, good value for money

Kitchen facilities were a bit limited for the number of guests . No sitting area other than dining was available. There was one there, it was just not made available while we were staying

One of the best choices for solo travelers
