Traveller's Villa

The villa is separate from the main loding where you will need to travel for food. Very friendly and responsive host - the food is delicious too!

We had a lovely welcome to this place with tasty and well needed welcome drinks after a long travel day. The kind owners made our stay very smooth, gave us great tips, arranged a scooter for us and they were always available through Whatsapp if we had any questions. The room itself is comfortable and very clean, felt like a Europe standard room. The amazing hot shower and water pressure is worth mentioning, best I ever had in Sri Lanka! We ate both breakfast & dinner here and all food was very delicious, no need to go searching for restaurants from far. We explored the beautiful area & Maskeliya from here by scooter, was definitely one of my favorite stays!

It got quite cold in the night with the thin blanket and thankfully got an extra blanket from the owner, but I wish it would've been thicker as it didn't help that much.

A modern and well presented one bedroom apartment with an ensuite that is the best we have come across in our travels in Sri Lanka so far. It does look out across a small gully to a busy road but it became very quiet at nightfall. The host was most accommodating and the meals provided were absolutely delicious.

A good stopover on the Pekoe Trail. The room is clean, though very basic. We enjoyed sitting in the balcony of the room to watch the many birds flying around. Night time was very quiet even though the room faces the main road 100 meters away. It was a real treat to have the excellent meals cooked by the owner’s wife and mother-in-law. Also, the owner was very attentive and helpful.

There were no tea or coffee making facilities and the whole bathroom floor gets wet when you take a shower. The thin blankets provided were not really adequate to keep warm at night. The owner, however, is aware of these deficiencies, and is working to make improvements.

Everything! The host is very warm and welcoming, helpful, friendly. The shower is hot and has a good pressure. It’s nice to sit outside in front of the room to read a book or chill. Excellent food.

Nothing negative to share. One of my best accommodation on the Pekoe trail so far.

My host was wonderful, he was kind and really helpful making my stay smooth and enjoyable ( as i was staying just one day and night). I really recommend this place if you pass by Hatton! Thank you so much

We had a great stay at Travellers Villa. The accommodation is fine, everything is very clean, the beds are comfortable, the showers are hot. The location is fine although you are facing a main road so I don't think you would call it really quiet. However, the location of the accommodation is not why you stay here. You eat an evening meal and breakfast up at the owners house and the food is outstanding (the best we had in Sri Lanka) prepared with love by the owners mother. The owner and his family are delightful and you will definitely enjoy your stay here

Absolutely fantastic experience! My stay at Dhammika's guesthouse was a true highlight of my trip to Sri Lanka and I regret not being able to stay longer. Dhammika's hospitality is truly exceptional. He picked me up from the train station late in the evening, drove me to Adam's Peak trail starting point at 2 am, organized a very authentic tea fields tour, arranged a driver for me, and even gave me recommendations for a safari for the next leg of my journey. He really took care of everything! The guesthouse itself is lovely. My room was spacious, clean, and offered a stunning view of the surrounding tea fields and the lake. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and the warmth and friendliness of Dhammika's family made staying there a pleasure. The area is breathtakingly beautiful and Dhammika's guesthouse is the perfect base to explore it from. I can't recommend this place highly enough!
