Traveller's Villa

The host speaks excellent English and gave us lots of information about Sri Lanka and things to see. The room was quiet and comfortable, the food was excellent! He helped us book a tour of the tea fields and factory and the tour was amazing. Highly recommend!

Family owned property. They will go out of their way for you! Had some of the best food in Sri Lanka here!

Absolutely adored this place!! Really comfortable beds, stunning peaceful location, close to some excellent hikes and waterfalls and somehow the area remains off the beaten path. The family and host are absolutely lovely and the food, ohhh man the home cooked food was just so so so good!

That I had to leave

We had a great stay here after finishing Pekoe Stage 08! The ville was nice and clean and had hot showers. There is a nice view point close by. The host was very attentive, kind and friendly! He also helped arrange a sunrise hike at Adam’s Peak (Sri Pada) which worked well

The view from the Villa itself was a bit disappointing as we thought it would be to the lake. Also, it is not really possible to go to the lake from the villa, just a heads up.

The room is modern and not small. It was very clean, very agreable, hot water. You face both the road and some tea plantation. But what makes it incredible is the family welcoming you. Helpful, help sort out my trip. Thanks to his tuk tuk he took me to see nice places, arranged the tea plantation visit. And the food... amazing salmon curry. Really enjoyed it there.

Traveller’s Villa is a fantastic place to stay and perfect for relaxing. The guesthouse is nestled among tea fields, where you can unwind on the balcony, watch the activity on the street, and observe animals. It’s clean and cozy, and the shower had strong, warm water pressure—just what we needed after a long hike. Truly a rare gem in Sri Lanka! Dhammika, our host, is incredible! He’s so helpful and caring, always making sure we had everything we needed. We felt completely taken care of, as Dhammika thought of every detail, allowing us to fully relax. He organized an amazing tea tour for us, which was both incredibly informative and a wonderful experience. He even drove us early in the morning in his Tuk Tuk to Dalhousie for Adam’s Peak. The family also prepared our meals, and they were absolutely delicious. If you’re planning to visit Adam’s Peak, this is the perfect place to stay.

Nothing

Our host and family were all wonderful. Fresh cooked breakfast and dinner in their home. Nothing was too much trouble. We were taken in their tuk tuk to various places.local knowledge about the area was very useful. Would highly recommend. The villa was clean with a view of tea plantation.

There was a lot of outside stairs, which was fine for me, but more difficult for my husband with bad knees.

Dhammika is a great host, he organized the entire stay for us including all must have attractions. The food was amazing. We highly recommend this place!

We spent two fantastic days with Dhammika and his beautiful family who made us feel so welcome. Nestled among the sprawling tea plantations on the edge of the reservoir, the villa was simple but very comfortable, with a lovely view of the rolling green hills. Throughout our stay, Dhammika was a massive help, even driving us to the foot of Adam’s Peak in his tuk tuk at 1:30am and then showing us the various waterfalls and tea factories. He was a fount of local knowledge, and the breakfasts and dinners prepared by his wife and mother-in-law were delicious! Thank you, Dhammika!
