Ranakpur Nature Retreat

During our visit in rajasthan, we decided to do a safari in the Ranakpur area. Deepak place is beautiful in its simplicity, if you are looking in an authentic local experience (including food) and you wish to reconnect with nature and to listen to the words and experiences of a brilliant man, this is the perfect place for you. Unfortunately we just stayed for one night, but we strongly suggest you to stay at least two nights to do other activities with Deepak. For us it was one of the best experience in India.

Great quiet room with a view to the mountains and in the garden. Very friendly, helpfull and obligingly people. Varied, healthy and delicious meals. Deepak, the owner: a man with a vision, full of wisdom, ideas and love.

From the moment we arrived at Ranakpur Nature retreat we were warmly greeted by Deepak and his team. The family farm stretches away from the accommodation towards the river and provides great views and produce for organic food prepared for us. What is unique is that Deepak gives his time for free. He drove us locally to Ranakpur temple on the first day. He suggested a walk to a less visited cave temple and he climbed up to this with us to provide a better understanding of this amazing place. He arranged a sunset evening leopard spotting safari which was perfect. On the last morning we cycled together with Deepak to the local village and my wife who is a teacher was able to meet and talk to some of the children on their way to school. We realised there are many ways in which Deepak is helping his local community and a stay at Ranakpur Nature Retreat was an inspiration as well as being a restful break from our travels around Rajasthan. For our onward journey Deepak also helped with train and taxi bookings as well as helpful suggestions. Such a nice place to stay.

Nothing at all. The accommodation is simple but comfortable and the cost of the stay is very reasonable.

A dream quiet oasis far away from the usual busy city centers; big size of the room, very clean and quiet; staff very friendly and helpful, notably Veepak. Nice safaris. If we come back in Rajasthan, we will return here and even stay longer.

More than the peaceful and magnificent nature of the location, the impeccable and clean rooms and the delicious local food, we will always remember how warmly we were welcome by the owner Deepak. From a sunrise yoga session to showing us off the beaten track sacred sites and soul enriching conversations, it feels more like visiting a friend or family than staying in a hotel. Whether you are just passing by the Ranakpur temple or looking to stay several days in the region, this is a place you should not miss.

We had a great stay at Deepak's property, a haven of peace and calm. Our room wad spacious and comfortable, with big balcony with view on wonderful nature and Kumbhalgarth fort. We had tasty homemade and organic dinner and breakfast and could even enjoy a Yoga session with Deepak. 🙏

Deepak and his family welcomed us to their beautiful nature retreat with open arms. It felt like a home from home for us, and gave us some much needed tranquility on a chaotic holiday! Our room was spacious, light and clean, and surrounded by calming nature. The food was delicious and authentic, and Deepak was very helpful in organising a Leopard Safari for us and giving us recommendations for our onward travels! We spent New Years Eve here and it was a highlight of our trip. Thank you Deepak, family and staff ❤️

The retreat is very relaxed, which is great, but we thought there could be more structure and clarity in terms of the check out process, food pricing etc.

This was our best stay in India. We arrived by public bus and stopped in front of the retreat. The manager was waiting for us and helped with our luggage. We got a spacious room with a large balcony overlooking the trees. We could hear the birds for the first time in India. The most refreshing thing to us was that the owner Deepak and his team wanted to help us enjoy the surroundings and want nothing in return. We went to a nearby Temple cave on the hill with Deepak, he took the time to show us the surroundings for free. The meals cooked in their kitchen are always fresh and very tasty, we learned many things from the Indian culture and shared about ours. We felt really at home during our stay and will definitely be back when we visit India again. Thank you for the excellent care Deepak and team!

Ranakpur Nature Retreat is a very special place. It's a real nature stay, in a real farm, among nice local people. The accomodation is basic, no fancy frills, but you have all that you need. It makes you feel part of the life of common prople, not just a tourist - if you know what I mean. You are a honored guest in a family of farmers. The food is yummy plus it's bio. Everything comes from the farm itself. We also had the opportunity of meeting the owner of the farm who was very generous in explanations about local food and habits. Cherry on the cake: we have made a short morning safari and were so lucky as to spot a leopard female with cubs! Thanks to Dinesh, the manager, and all the staff for a fantastic experience.

the room was spacious and had beautiful view of the big garden in the back of the resort. the staff are very freindly and attentive to all needs. they also have very nice arranged activities around the village area.
