The Captain's Lodge Room Only accommodation

Location was just right for us, so very convenient. Clean and very comfortable, complimentary beverages and toiletries were plentiful.

Nothing to dislike

Very clean and well cared for accomodation. Friendly welcome. Comfortable bed with tea and coffee making facilities. Very good value and excellent location not far from the sea front. Bathroom very clean and well kept. I would be very happy to stay here again. The bathroom has a light which came on automatically when I entered, which I very much liked.

Absolutely nothing to dislike, though my personal preference is for a shower rather than a bath. However, some people would prefer a bath I suppose, it's just that I am used to a shower at home.

The room was nicely decorated and had plenty of space, for clothes and suitcases, a really good drinks tray that you can stock up when you run out , as outside your rooms the is a shelf that you can help yourself to tea coffee ,etc, the lady that runs the rooms was very nice and helpful, the bed was extremely comfy and I slept fantastically. All in all I would definitely stay here again the location was brilliant and we even got a side sea view from our room on the second floor, Parking was also easy enough, we parked across from the Captains Lodge with a parking permit from the owners of the Lodge at a cost of £2.50 per night. It was Our very first time to Whitby but will not be our last

Nothing I think the owners of Captains Lodge have got it running like clock work on a self serviced room only basis, but great to know they are available should you need them, plus the information pack is very helpful too.

Great location, 2 minutes to Westcliff, 10 minutes to town center (and supermarket). Helpful manager.

Room 7 very small for two. Charged us for parking coupons (other places give them out free). Be warned if you don’t know Whitby, parking is horrible—took us 20 minutes driving around to find a spot.

Die Lage ist recht gut, man kann alles fix erreichen: Bahnhof, Strand, Altstadt. Es gibt ein sehr großzügiges „Hospitality Tray“, mit Keksen, Tee, Kaffee, Kakao und man kann sich im Flur Nachschub holen.

Ich hatte übersehen, dass das Bad tatsächlich nur eine Wanne und keine Dusche hat. Es steht eine Kanne bereit, mit der man sich übergießen kann, das ging schon, richtig duschen wäre aber schön gewesen.

When you go in the bathroom the light & extractor comes on automatically, hence to say it’s bright and noisy

Lovely hotel and very pleasant host,s went out of their way to accommodate us, we left having a great stay and will definitely return.

The walk back from the center of Whitby can be a little demanding but this is not the fault of the hotel.
