お部屋がとても綺麗でした。また、朝食は全て自家製の食材を使用しており、とても手が込んでいて美味しかったです。 チェックアウト後も、更衣室の利用も出来るので川遊び後の心配をしなくて済みました。

ロケーションが良く、部屋は必要最低限だが、とても居心地の良い場所でした。スタッフの方も予約の時から、滞在中も大変感じが良く、助かりました。また、来たい宿です。

We had an amazing time thanks to our host Ken. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, you can tell when a person cares about nature. The house was so-so for 12 people but very lovely. I wish could come again to use the balcony. It was cold when we went. 5 stars for the breakfast. The presentation and use of local ingredients was chefs kiss!

This place is gorgeous. We arrived in the dark after a long hike to get there and woke up to the best views of the river, right from our room! Ken san was the most friendly host we had in Japan and served us two beautiful meals that were a great balance of being Japanese but Western friendly. The room was traditional Japanese with futons etc which was fun for us because we hadn’t done that before. Futons were plenty comfortable.

A bit expensive? But it’s in a small town - maybe that’s just the price of lodging during leaf season. This was the only option we found so we went for it. So glad we did though!!

Ken was a wonderful host, was a great escape from the bustling city. Sitting and listening to the rain and the river was so relaxing. Easy enough to get to from Tokyo City.

We loved everything about this property. What a wonderful gem just outside of Tokyo. We booked for a retreat from the city and our expectations were exceeded. My kids enjoyed skipping rocks in the beautiful river just a few steps from the property. We brought food for BBQ on the terrace which was family time well spent. We had so much fun we ran out of time to walk to the onsen so will have to return. The futon mats are VERY comfortable and after great sleep we woke up to sunshine on the river below and gorgeous fall leaves falling like snow. Host gave us perfect recommendations for a perfect day in Akigawa while he served a delicious breakfast and even taught my kids about the fruit trees in his garden before we headed out to see the local beauty.

Everything was perfect.
