Otsu Nature Garden

Very nice location by the river, perfect getaway being quite close to Tokyo. Great area to explore (very good massage at the nearby onsen). Breakfast was also very good. The host is also extremely nice and helpful.

Maybe just a little overpriced compare to actual comfort but still a great place to stay.

The staff and the location were great!

The regular Japanese room I stayed in at first was soaked of smoke from the bbq. Then I was moved to an incredible apartment that was not super clean but was still amazing

Ken was a fantastic host, the house is very convenient, well decorated and fit with great amenities thanks to Ken's renovations. He provides nice food options for breakfast and in the case that you weren't able to purchase dinner, there's instant food you can purchase from him. Good to have options since there aren't any convenience stores within walking distance. He knows the area very well and will definitely inform you on where to go. It was so lovely to wake up with a view of the surrounding mountains. The local area is so peaceful as you're right by a river and many of the local people have nice gardens. The bus stop to Hossawa Falls is only a 5minute walk away. You're also a 10-15min away from Seoto-no yu Onsen which is so convenient..

The wifi was a little slow so its best to have a good sim card.

Ken was super friendly and hospitable. Speaks good English if you’re a foreigner, helped me learn some Japanese phrases as well. Not to mention, he makes amazing breakfast

Cozy place, close to the river.

Perfectly located by the river and you can go swimming from there. Options for barbeque, but you need to prepare and bring your own food for that. kitchen can be used by hotel guests and has everything.

Very young crowd, a bit noisy.

The area was beautiful. Ken the host was really friendly and nice. Definitely will come back again
