"Disappointing"

Nice location, beautiful river.

The room smelled quite a bit of mold, and there were cockroaches in the hallway making us afraid they would enter our room through the big gap under the door. Lack of hand soap and garbage can.

"Relaxing and memorable"

Almost everything, it's beautiful.

The stairs going to the river. They are steep and uneven. It's difficult bring down camping and bbq equipments.

"We had a lovely and productive work retreat away from the city."

It is a clean and quiet property deep in nature. Ken , the manager, was super friendly and keen to help.

It would be difficult to do much without a car. Some of the facilities are old but clean.

"The fantastic stay in a beautiful area"

The area is stunning. There are challenging and spectacular hiking trails all around. The staff is super friendly, even to those who don't speak Japanese :) Delicious breakfasts made from organic vegetables grown in the garden.

The manager was so nice and friendly, and extremely helpful. My Japanese is just basic/intermediate so he helped a lot with filling out forms and suggested us places to go. The inside looked so beautiful and was very comfortable, it was a surprise to have a kotatsu in the room to use. The shared facilities were extremely clean and comfortable, also there were enough of them that you still feel like it’s not shared. Even though they are tatami rooms, the facilities are still quite modern and it is clear that they do their best to be eco friendly. The manager recommended Mube tea room which is about a 3-5 minute walk away and it was really beautiful and tasty. They have a lovely garden and small gallery too. There is a spa a walk away, with a restaurant, cafe and a free foot onsen outside. Overall a great experience.

I don’t have any complaints at all, I will be returning to stay again ! ありがとうございます
