Otsu Nature Garden

The property is gorgeous, set right on a river in the middle of serene nature. The room is very comfortable and the staff are very kind. I highly recommend this place.

I love everything about this place. Just be aware that although there is a BBQ area, you have to make a reservation and pay an additional fee to use it. (Which I do recommend. The BBQ area is amazing!)

had an absolutely fantastic experience staying at this lovely house. It comfortably accommodates up to 10 people, making it perfect for larger groups or families. The house itself is stunning, with a beautiful living room and a kitchen that boasts both Western and Japanese-style rooms. The views of the mountains and river from the windows are simply breathtaking. The host, Ken, truly goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have a wonderful stay. He has poured his heart into renovating the entire house, and it shows in every detail. Ken provides exceptional service, offering great recommendations for nearby attractions such as spas and other itineraries to explore. Additionally, if the weather permits, guests can rent bikes from him to tour the area, adding an extra layer of convenience and adventure. One highlight of the stay is the nearby onsen, just a 15-minute walk away. It's a truly beautiful onsen, perfect for unwinding and enjoying a relaxing soak for half a day. Ken also prepares a delicious breakfast, adding to the overall experience and making guests feel truly pampered. Overall, I highly recommend staying at this house. The combination of Ken's hospitality, the stunning surroundings, and the comfortable accommodations make for an unforgettable experience.

Ken-san was fantastic. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect when making this booking, but it really exceeded expectations. We didn't take advantage of all of the available amenities (projector screen, barbeque, extra tatami room) but everything we did take advantage of was great. The bathtub was very nice, as was the TV (we're not really TV watchers but we probably logged about eight hours on that thing). Big thanks to Ken for the help he gave, and the extra things he provided to us during our two-night stay.

Friendly welcome, clean and equipped with everything you might need. It had a really warm and friendly feel to it, a perfect place to cosy up to of an evening, winter, spring, summer or autumn. Ken was lovely and the Japanese breakfast was delicious, so peaceful as well from the balcony area looking over the valley
