Sunrise City Palace

Denish is lovely and hospitable. He picked us up from the airport at 2am, breakfast is completely local and on the last day he prepared us a delicious dinner. He made sure our short stay was a real Sri Lankan experience. We would come back 100%, highly recommended!

Such a lovely and accommodating family, great space for breakfast/dinner and pickup/dropoff is so convenient. We stayed here twice, great way to start and end our trip in SL.

Free airport pick up, Denish was always accessible via messages. Breakfast was very simple. The hosts are not really helpful with information about buses etc, so better even not to ask but go to the bus station by yourself. Also I didn’t receive change from 20$, so bring small money with you. Actually it’s okay for one-night stay, but don’t expect a lot.

Had a great stay and nice welcome to Sri Lanka. Danish was great picked us up from the airport and pointed out all the sights on the tuk tuk ride back.

I don't understand how Booking works out the quality and scoring of the properties advertised. In my opinion, Booking just lay the hand to get the money and don't care about anything else. This is not a 3 star, and is not a Superb property. The property is exceptionally clean, the staff is Superb, but the property needs much more to be a 3 star Superb, You get what you pay, indeed, and this is a 1 star roperty.
