Jet Black Jewel

Perfekte Lage. Wir konnten alles zu Fuß machen. Wir hatten einen traumhaften Blick von unserem Zimmer aufs Meer und die Abby - einmalig. Das Personal unten im Café war wunderbar, super freundlich, hilfsbereit. Es war eine Freude dort zu übernachten und sogar das Auto konnten wir umsonst um die Ecke parken.

Entry to the hotel and our room was as descibed and easy to follow. The room though small was ideal for a two night stay. Cleanliness exceptional. Tea and coffee on hand and plentiful with more out in the hallway if required. The room decor good depicting the Robin Hood link with Whitby. The skylight let in plenty of light. The bed was comfy and we slept well. The en suite stylish and very clean. The tv had plenty of channels to chose from. There were plenty of walll sockets availiable for charging needs.

There was no wardrobe to hang clothes in, just an open rail attached to a wall with hangers. And these had to be pushed aside to access the full length mirror. There is a small sign in the en suite warning of slippery floor tiles when wet. This was not a problem to us, but the base inside the shower when in use was very slippery, so perhaps this could be looked into. The only problem we encountered was after checkout when we tried to get the refund on our unused parking scratchcard. As stated in a message from Jet Black we went to the cafe for the refund only to be refused because quote " i've worked her for 5 years and have never heard of this". I tried to find the message on my phone for confirmation but failed, I have since found it. The amount involved was £2-40p, so instead of argueing about it and because we enjoyed our stay we left. If the unused scratchcard refund is standard practice why are the staff ignorant to it.

Lovely and clean, friendly staff in the bar downstairs, great location.

Das Konzept ist originell und gut umgesetzt. Macht das Hotel einzigartig. Auch das Frühstück im Cafe war sehr gut.

The bed and bed linen were not super-comfy, but it was a very hot bank holiday weekend!
