Bien placé

Au début nous avions une chambre qui correspondait pas tellement a l’annonce, pas de balcon ni de fenêtre etc etc .. c’était pas très conforme aux photos. Mais on a pu changer d’appartement car on a eu un petit problème et la propriétaire a été parfaite avec nous ! Le second logement était beaucoup mieux avec le petit balcon. C’est le seul point un peu négatif

La cama individual súper incomoda, no se podía dormir.

La posizione

Posizione eccellente e proprietaria gentile.

La pulizia non è approfondita ma la pecca più grave è la mancanza di aria nella stanza: c'è una finestra con le sbarre che dà sulla scala interna e una molto piccola vista muro con zanzariera staccata. Inoltre il bagno è senza finestra e senza ventola. Il condizionatore ha un' inquietante macchia di scolo per cui abbiamo deciso di non utilizzarlo. Con il caldo di agosto la sistemazione non è stata affatto agevole. D'altro canto la posizione è davvero comoda e la proprietaria molto gentile e disponibile. Resta il fatto che non ci tornerei.

La localisation est juste parfaite

Η τοποθεσία του δωματίου ήταν πολύ καλή και βολική. Ήσυχο σημείο αλλα και κεντρικό. Το δωμάτιο ήταν αρκετά καθαρό. Η οικοδέσποινα ήταν ευγενική και μας επέτρεψε να αφήσουμε τα πράγματα μας μετά το check out.

Αρχικά, το δωμάτιο δεν είχε καμία σχέση με τις φωτογραφίες. Ήταν υπερβολικά μικρό σε σημείο που δεν χωρούσαν οι βαλίτσες μας να ανοίξουν. Το κρεβάτι έπιανε σχεδόν όλο το δωμάτιο και δεν μπορούσαμε να κινηθούμε με άνεση. Το στρώμα ηταν πολύ κακό με γούβες από την πολλή χρήση, γεγονός που δεν εξυπηρετούσε καθόλου στον ύπνο. Δεν είχε ούτε παράθυρου που να κοιτάει λίγο έξω, ούτε μπαλκόνι όπως φαινόταν στις φωτογραφίες.

We booked Calamarina Centro very last minute and were grateful to find somewhere so ideally placed to explore Palermo's beautiful and historic old town. You couldn't ask for a better location and the apartment has a wonderful main bedroom which high ceiling and ornate furniture which feels very ostentatious, and a balcony overlooking Via Vittorio Emanuele, a bustling street with boutiques and cheap eats and a great place to watch the world go by. You are no more than about 5 minutes walk from all of the wonderful little eateries and wine bars of Kalsa which are very reminiscent of the backstreets of Barcelona. The nearest bus stop is a 5 minute walk away on Via Roma, which will get you to the central station, the opera houses and most of the other main sights. If like me, you are not a strong walker and wish to cross the old town to visit the Norman palace and gardens or the Catacombs you are either best catching a taxi or hitching a ride on the little passenger train.

Although we knew the apartment was on the third floor, we didn't quite appreciate how exhausting it would be climbing the long flights of steps 2-3 times a day in the humid summer heat. If you are not great on your feet I would recommend you think twice about choosing this apartment. Additionally, the electric hob in the apartment didn't function properly so we were unable to make Italian coffee in the mornings. The owner paid us a visit to try and fix it but no luck. We were allowed to use an instant coffee machine in the communal corridor but it wasn't quite the same as making your own...
