Friendly helpful guesthouse owners/staff, good local recommendations, really good breakfast and we appreciated being able to leave our luggage while we fetched our rental car.

"A great overnight stay ."

Everything was well thought out for our comfort and we had everything we needed in our room. Breakfast was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Only a short walk to restaurants and pubs in town.

Found it difficult to access car parking from the busy main road but we managed in the end.

The proprietor was very welcoming, it was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was excellent. Good value for money would recommend highly.

"Charming host, comfortable guesthouse, convenient and quiet overnight stop."

Spotlessly clean, well managed and surprisingly quiet, Ashberry is a purpose built guest house and was a perfect overnight stop on our way south. Our host, Phil, was very attentive and welcoming. Our bedroom was small but very comfortable and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, television etc. And Penrith had many restaurants to choose from for supper, none more than 6 or 10 minutes walk away.

"Perfect for a stopover in Penrith"

Location is fantastic, only a few minutes walk towards the town centre with great places to eat & drink. Parking was convenient, private & safe. Decent sized bedroom with nice en suite. Phil & Vanda were so welcoming & friendly and gave us great tips for places to eat in the evening. Last but not least, breakfast was fantastic & very generous!

Sadly we found the bed uncomfortable
