The Cattleya Guest House Sigiriya

We had a wonderfull time in Sigiriya. Staying at The Cattleya Guest House was great. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious with traditional dishes, fresh fruit and juices. Also the hosts where amazing as they gave recommendations about where to go and arranged taxis, safaris and tuktuks for us. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Beautiful and comfortable room which was spotlessly clean. Very kind and helpful owners. A short distance away from lion's rock, the owner drove us there early in the morning and we were able to walk back. Delicious breakfast served on our patio. Beautiful gardens, was amazing to relax in the hammocks after the climb up the rock. Restaurants and shops in walking distance.

They charge for breakfast. Should just charge more for room and include it. The breakfast is good.

Our room had a lovely open garden where elephants roam at night; with a beautiful hammock for softer moments during the day. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful to lift us to sigiriya rock for our sunrise hike. Bed was comfortable, shower warm. Walking distance to main points of sigiriya rock and main road.

Every detail of my stay was so thoughtfully considered – from the beautiful surroundings to the impeccable service, everything was truly 10/10. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with such warmth and kindness that I instantly felt like part of the family. As a solo traveler, feeling safe and cared for is everything, and this place delivered that in every way. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and it was clear that so much love and attention goes into every aspect of the experience. I feel incredibly lucky to have stayed here and can’t recommend it highly enough. It’s a special kind of place that stays with you long after you’ve left.
