The Cattleya Guest House Sigiriya

- One room was very smelly, the WIFI wasn’t working, the air condition did the job but could be stronger. + The rooms were private, facing a garden. The owner was kind and drove us to the Sigiriya Lions Rock for our sunrise hike for free.

Asoka was incredibly polite and helpful. He helped with recommendations and also hooked us up with a great safari for Eco Lodge. The property is run as a BnB by a family, has a lush green view from the room and the patio and is super clean and comfortable. Breakfast was traditional and plenty for us anyway. There's parking on-site as well. Total recommend. The only thing I would improve is a small partition for the bathroom shower area.

This is a top quality place to stay. The owners take great pride in hosting well and are very attentive. The breakfasts in the morning (extra charge) are superb and delivered to your balcony. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. We had monkeys observing our every move over breakfast - watch your fruit! Two nights before us, wild elephants were seen in the garden. The owners organised TukTuk rides and our safari tickets for us. The facilities were very modern and clean (there are just two rooms on site, so it is truely a home stay). The stay was very relaxing, I could not recommend it more.

Lovely filling breakfast. Kindness and helpfulness of the owners. Location was great for visiting all the local tourist sites. Ashoka organised everything for us.. taxi from airport, trips to dambulla cave temple, Polonnaruwa, jeep safari to see elephants in eco park, lion rock, the other one, taxi to next accommodation too. All good prices and very enjoyable. They make amazing pineapple smoothies too. Also veranda and garden very pleasant to just sit on and watch nature.

Amazing Stay with a wonderful host! Everything about our stay was perfect! Mr. Ashok was very nice and helpful, making us feel right at home. The room was clean and cozy, and the view of Sigiriya rock from the garden was breathtaking. The highlight was the breakfast - the best we've had in all our years of travelling. The variety, the warmth put into it was special. Mr. Ashok also helped us arrange cars for our visit to Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa. If you are visiting Sigiriya, stay at Cattleya!

Absolutely nothing - everything was perfect!

I loved everything! The room was extremely nice and clean, with everything needed. A large bed which is cool. The host is very nice! And on top : we can see elephant crossing the garden sometimes which was exceptional! Thank you for everything

We had a wonderful stay in Sigiriya at Cattleya guest house. Great location, amazing food (both dinner and breakfast) and the owner was so helpful and generous throughout our stay. Thoroughly recommend!

Lovely property in a great location. There’s a great variety of wildlife in the garden, which is great to look over.

It’s very spacious, clean and the location is great.

Gorgeous accommodation, a short walk to restaurants / bars & a short drive to either of the Rocks for hiking. Very accommodating owners, great breakfast! Rooms were great, big very comfortable bed. Would recommend!

Only slight downfall was the wet room, would be better if they had a brush to get rid of the water faster.

Every thing, the owner and staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble.

Not a fan of wet rooms , but it was perfectly clean.and we would happily return again
