The Cattleya Guest House Sigiriya

Beautiful gardens, amazing generous host and the best hoppers we had on our whole trip. Room was spacious and bed very comfortable.

We loved th clean, spacious room and garden view. We only stayed one night but woke up and enjoyed coffee while monkeys and Langurs hung out in the garden. There is a little view of Sigiriya rock from the garden as well. It was very walkable and close to everything we needed. Hosts were kind and very helpful.

The guest house was incredibly clean and comfortable. It backs onto a beautiful lush garden with jungle beyond. There is a patio to eat breakfast at each morning which we really enjoyed. Ashoka and his family provided the most incredible hospitality and warmly welcomed us to Sigiriya. Ashoka assisted with arranging our transport, organised outings in the local area and gave us advice about what to see and do in Sigiriya and beyond. The drivers he organised for us were also excellent. We had dinner at the guest house one night which was prepared by Ashoka’s daughter - this was without a doubt the best meal we’ve had in Sri Lanka so far. The location was perfect being just away from the centre of town in a quiet spot, while still being on the doorstep of Lion Rock and other landmarks.

Beautiful property in an ideal location for Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala Rock. Ashoka was very helpful in giving us recommendations of the area and dropping us off places too.

The service was outstanding. As a solo traveler they made sure that I felt safe and well taken care of. Even driving me to Lions Rock at 5am so I could hike up and see the sunrise. Great food, proactive and excellent service. I really felt like I was in good hands. Super comfy bed. Cute garden. Quiet but just a short walk away from the town. This should be a three start property.

Beautiful location with well kept property. Very nice, helpful people. Good birdwatching. Easy access to all sights.
