Die Lage ist hervorragend und das angeschlossene Restaurant sensationell. Das Ehepaar, das die beiden Sachen schmeißt, ist sehr zuvorkommend und hat für alle unsere Anliegen eine Lösung gefunden. Die Betten waren sehr bequem und bei den angenehmen Temperaturen schläft man wie ein Baby.

Leider waren die Zimmer sehr einfach und die Bäder primitiv und ziemlich schmutzig. Wasser war nur kalt, aber das macht in Sumatra nicht wirklich viel aus.

The accommodation is more authentic compared to many resorts in Tuk Tuk. This authenticity comes with the lack of certain comforts (e.g., flushing mechanism on the toilet or a sink in the room).

7.5 Stars. The staff are very kind and the cats are super cute. The rooms are decent, some of them are really pretty and everything is clean (no bed bugs, I checked). The property is located down by the lake, restaurants and grocery stores cab be reached by foot. It's very peaceful but there's life music at the property's restaurant and another one in the neighbourhood and the food is good. A pier for the ferry is close by as well.

The property could use some work, some parts of it are occupied solely by building materials and the roofs are leaky in places (tho you'renot gonna have to worry about rain dripping into your room, just the balcony). Some walls have some mold but it is very damp year round so that's to be expected. One of the neighbouring properties contains quite a bit of trash, which is not the fault of the owners of this property but might still be unappealing and the area leading down into the lake could be nicer.

Even the budget room is quite big and has a spacious bathroom. The staff are very helpful and kind and they make sure you have a good experience in Samosir Island. The food in their restaurant is great, I honestly recommend this place.

Some people complain about the stairs leading to your room... You just need to go down the stairs because the room is right in front of the lake, so it's worth it.
