La casa in giardino

The kitchen offered everything we needed and it was really nice to be able to have breakfast or dinner outside with the wine growing over the terrace. Also the location is perfect only a few minutes by foot from the city center. The host was also very nice an helpful.

Sweet accomodation that was convenient to the town. It was very clean, great comfy bed and good shower. Perfect for a weekend or so away. Great Value

Francesca is brilliant! She has created a lovely welcoming accommodation which is just a short walk to Volterro. The breakfast basket was a lovely surprise and the house was warm when we arrived. We needed paperwork printing for our ferry journey and her Dad very kindly printed it off for us.

Only a few things.

Judging from the photos, this looked like an attractive, appealing place to stay. But on arrival I found it much different than expected. It basically looked and felt like a poorly furnished and decorated small apartment rather than a guest house. Clearly I was going too fast in my planning. I had thought there might have been a nearby place to have breakfast, but eating/coffee shops places were about a 15 minutes walk away along some very busy roads and up the steep hill to the center of town. While this might be an appealing place for a longer stay for couples, those with children would do better elsewhere. I left 2 days earlier than I had reserved and have not had any communication from Francesca.

This is a lovely little house just outside the Walls of Volterra. Very clean, comfortable, spacious and tranquil yet within a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Incredible value too!
