IbisHouse Farm Stay

Great place, beautiful decoration, very friendly host, away from the rest of the world. You can only dream of staying longer.

The IbisHouse Farm Stay is quite simply wonderful.... everything about it, the place itself is beautifully kept and maintained, the rooms spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We stayed on the top floor and spent our entire first afternoon relaxing with quite possibly the best masala chai in India watching the plethora of birds flying over. The place is managed and run by the Singh family and their hospitality is fantastic. The food was incredible, lovingly prepared by themselves and I was even able to go out for a days birdwatching with their father, the world famous bird guide Ratan Singh which was fantastic. If we return to Bharatpur in the future, we wouldn't look anywhere else to stay. Thankyou to the Singh family for a truly memorable and wonderful stay.

Hospitality of IBIS House members. Home away from home. Well maintained, clean. The food is fabulous.

Undoubtedly one of the best places to stay to enjoy the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary. The family that owns Ibis House was fundamental to the creation of the sanctuary and are very knowledgeable about both the birds within it, as well as the community that supports it. They helped us plan our short visit to the park and made every minute there enjoyable. We were able to even birdwatch in and around the farm itself. They organized very early morning transportation to the park, as well as well-packed meals that sustained us for a full day of traveling.

Not really a complaint, but the dinner is not included, as was mentioned in some other reviews. Though it is very convenient and reasonably priced for everything that was included (home cooked meals [actually spiceless for my partner!], beers, and treats).

Notre hôte parlait français (allemand et anglais aussi), et nous a longuement entretenu des coutumes de l'Inde, de la vie du temps de ses parents et maintenant, jusqu'à sortir son propre album de mariage. Comme nous étions tous naturalistes, et lui aussi (son père était un des premiers observateurs et guide de Keoladeo Ghana), et que nous avions des jumelles thermiques, il est venu avec ses frères faire un tour de nuit, en partie avec sa voiture, en partie à pied, dans les champs autour du lodge, après s'être déjà promené l'après-midi avec ceux d'entre nous qui étaient restés au lodge au lieu d'aller visiter le parc de Keoladeo. Le repas se prend en commun avec les autres invités, comme dans nos chambre d'hôtes. Excellent petit déjeuner.

We had a really lovely stay at Ibis House. The brothers were super welcoming and the hospitality was some of the best we’ve seen anywhere. They are all super passionate about what they do, the area, and wildlife. It genuinely felt like we were at a friend or family member’s house. The property itself was lovely, some amazing views, all amenities we would need, and very close to the national park. Will definitely be coming back

Beautiful property, spacious rooms, kind and very professional staff

Nice location close to the bird park. Very large room, we had a bedroom and a living room even. Very clean room and very good bed. Breakfast and dinner were served in a group room and we liked it a lot.
