Breakfast was amazing - nothing like I'd have expected but brilliant. A surreal breakfast dinner party vibe but great to meet and chat to new people! Vincent is so lovely and extremely helpful😁 thank you I would definitely come back if in the area.

A wonderful stay in this lovely house with our excellent host, Vincent. We were given some very helpful information by Vincent before we arrived about our stay, local restaurants and places to visit. The breakfast was really good and we loved sitting at a shared table.

Beautiful house. Loved the design. Location perfect - 10 minute walk to the sea. Had everything we needed. The restaurant recommendations were very useful and abundant. We picked the sea view room. I highly recommend that room - bright beautiful views from the hill with two large windows. Queen bed was very comfortable. Mini fridge with water and fresh milk replenished daily. Coffee and tea in room as well. Dyson fan to cool off from the glorious sun- soaked room. But most of all, the breakfast was better than any we’d had - 5 star. Fresh croissants daily, eggs prepared with the freshest ingredients and with Vincent’s magical French touch. Fresh fruit that was sweet and abundant. Huge yogurt selections, Fortnum and Mason jams and preserves, varied cereals, etc. Vincent is the primary host and he’s just divine. Julian as well as Clovis, the delightfully lovable Saint Bernard - were so sweet. Black Rock House will be our place to stay anytime we return to Hastings.

Only thing we had issues with was the wifi cutting out at times. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Dit zeer sfeervolle gasthuis met smaakvolle inrichting ligt in een rustige (wat hoger gelegen) wijk op loopafstand van het centrum. Wij werden warm ontvangen door de eigenaar Vincent. Wij hadden een mooie, ruime kamer, rustig gelegen aan de achterzijde van het huis. Wij kregen een welkomstdrankje aangeboden in de smaakvol ingerichte salon. 's Morgens werd het royale ontbijt geserveerd in de eetkamer aan een lange mooi gedekte tafel. Wij willen hier heel graag nog eens terugkomen.

Vincent is such a great host. We had a wonderful stay at Black Rock House. He gave us many useful tips for exploring the surrounding areas. Beautifully furnished house with a very cosy atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing!
