The Glen Mona Hotel

Location really good for travelling round the island.

Clean, tidy and spacious room. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Dog friending bar downstairs was warm and welcoming, dogs especially :-)

Bathroom was quite small. No hair drier supplied.

Nice place. Good view. Warm enough. TV good with Netflix etc.

Radiators only came on one night but it wasn't cold so no real issue. Bedroom window wouldn't shut properly but a rolled up towel sorted it. Obviously a work in progress but the place wasn't bad at all. Would definitely go back. Never saw the owners. No contact checkin and checkout. Would have preferred meeting them.

Very clean and spacious suite. All furniture and fittings look new. Bed very comfy. Nice big smart TV. Owners friendly and helpful. Location is stunning, countryside all around in probably the most picturesque part of the island. Will definitely stay here again when on the IOM.

The setting of the accommodation was lovely. The bedroom of the 'apartment' was clean.

We could have done with knowing before booking the accessibility, as my husband has COPD, and getting to the accommodation from the car was horrific for him. The room was not serviced at all in the time we were staying there. I don't have a problem with making my own bed, or folding the towels, but we had to empty the dehumidifier ourselves everyday, and the rubbish bin was overflowing. I didn't pay £300 for 4 nights to put me own rubbish out. We had to dodge dog dirt when walking through the garden to the accommodation. There was damp in the bathroom and bedroom, and there were obvious signs of patching up of the decor throughout the accommodation. Also, the cupboard under the wash basin had part used bottles of toiletries, which we didn't use as we didn't know who'd used them before. On arrival, there was no welcome from the owners, one of which was helping service the room ready for us. And we didn't see the owners before we left - no "have you enjoyed your stay?", "was everything alright?", etc, etc

Great accommodation. Lovely and clean with some nice extra touches. No sign of a single member of staff. Isolated location so be prepared with all your essentials as no local shop or anywhere to get food etc. Would stay again when the pub is open.

Fantastic scenery out of the towns. Although only ten minutes either way to Ramsey or Laxey by bus. Bus stop and tram stop literally 20 yards away and run twice per hour until after midnight.
