Lynster House

The breakfast was great, especially the Posh Porridge. Delightful.

I can find no faults whatsoever.

I loved the hostess Elizabeth who volunteered to drive us into town to meet our dinner hosts- then regaled us with stories about the town- her life- her gorgeous artwork and even played the Harp and sang for us. I felt like I was in the home of my favorite sister. We stayed up late because we were having so much fun but slept like contented children in the comfy bed. The next morning we had breakfast smoothis- awesome AWESOME porridge with dates oranges and all sorts of goodies- just DIVINE. Farm fresh eggs and special local black pudding and the best black bread in Ireland with homemade jam.oh and the backyard is Solomon cute

I only booked one night. When I return I will base my stay in the country and do daytrips from here.

On arrival we were treated by our hostess Elizabeth. Such a warm welcome and so full of knowledge of the area. The gardens on approach from driveway looked lovely. Bedroom and bathroom so clean and comfortable. Breakfast next morning was SO special. Elizabeth is so interested in food and presents beautiful breakfasts sourced from local producers. Choice to enjoy breakfast at leisure indoors in lovely art surroundings or outdoors weather permitting in lovely gardens . Such a homely setting. We really enjoyed breakfast with homemade bread, special porridge and spreads

The house and the grounds were beautiful and well cared for. This home was an art and music lovers delight. The bed was a dream. Elizabeth took us under her wing immediately, offering exceptional hospitality, incredible advice about Monaghan and beyond, and we’re so grateful she had time to be sociable with us. The breakfast was incredible!!! Cannot recommend her or her guest house enough!

The home was exceptional, and the breakfasts were excellent! The location was ideal for relaxation, and yet close enough to Monaghan to find colorful pubs and fine dining. Elizabeth, our host, was outstanding! She was such a pleasure to spend time with, and was altogether delightful. We were sad to say goodbye to such an interesting person- I hope we can return the hospitality if she ever visits the U.S. ☺️

We had an incredible stay at Lynster house. We didn't spend much time there as we attended a wedding locally but the breakfast the next morning was absolutely outstanding and thoroughly cured us from the night before! Elizabeth is an amazing host, she couldn't have been more helpful, we will definitely be staying again.

Liz was a fantastic host. The room was wonderful, light and airy. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and the breakfast was delicious. 10/10

Clean, lots of towels provided, excellent breakfast, pretty and quirky decor.

Heating scarcely on, electric showers poor. Very high end pricing so you would expect better showers.
