La Maison Eco House & Yoga

Beautiful property with a lovely communal feel. We felt very look after and received great recommendations. Excellent breakfast. The pool was a much needed escape from the afternoon heat. Yoga was a lovely addition.

Felt we had to be very quiet in our room as sound carries in the property.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in La Maison. Wir waren für eine längere Zeit dort und haben sogar ein Upgrade bekommen. Es ist der perfekte Ort um zu entspannen. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank an Alle!!

The place is absolutely nothing like on the pictures online. It’s a scam. It’s dirty, dark, noisy. The common area is run down, all the benches and bean bags are dirty to a point we did not even want to sit down. The pool is dirty and way smaller than on the picture. The room was not clean, the bathroom was weathered, the wood of the house is old and extremely stained. On top it is very unsafe because the power sockets were broken and hanging off the wall right next to the sink. We left right the next day. When we kindly gave feedback and politely asked for a refund, they refused although they ADMITTED THAT THE PLACE AT THE MOMENT IS RUNDOWN! They told us they experienced heavy rainfalls and therefore the place does not look like on the pictures anymore. They admitted it needed renovation but did not understand how problematic it is to have misleading pictures on travel platforms. Whoever gives negative feedback and negative reviews, is accused of having to high expectations. We arrived at the Eco lodge without misconceptions what the place is gonna be. We wanted a cozy, chill and eco place, and found a dirty, rundown hostel that on top felt unsafe and way too loud to even get one minute rest a night. We loved the concept of la maison and thought the pictures online looked beautiful. (A chill place to relax in the north of Peru after adventures in the south) But we felt very misled given the current condition..we were in no way expecting a hotel experience as much as the owners tried to accuse us of afterwards 😂. (Very strange and very gaslighty*) The area feels incredibly unsafe, so does the entire town. Very pushy locals, very dirty restaurants, very sketchy streets. We have been traveling to places, hotels, airbnbs, hostels, etc in the past 10 years – but this was by far the worst experience.

Rooms are very nice and comfortable, the place has a nice vibe. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were incredible, especially Miguel. Close to the beach and restaurants.

Only one bathroom for the shared rooms, could do with another one.

Tuve una hermosa estadía! El hospedaje es muy lindo, con un ambiente super relajado para poder pasar el rato allí y descansar. El personal super amable y atento!

The slow and social vibe! Close to everything and really felt like a home. Great surfspot and yoga studio

If there was aircon available I would have given it 10/10. Think that could be smart to install in some of the rooms to offer with a bit higher price. It gets superhot during the nights!

Ameisen, Käfer in der Dusche. Keine Klimaanlage, extrem viele Motten im Schlafraum, extrem dunkel, Türe liess sich nicht schließen, Katzen kamen nachts ins Bett, schmutziger Schrank! Wir sind am nächsten Tag abgereist, es war unzumutbar, es gab keine Rückerstattung! Fotos im Internet waren übertrieben Positiv dargestellt!!
