La Taverna del Leone

Quiet location, beautiful Michelin restaurant with excellent food, and very service oriented staff. I encourage trying the tasting menu. Wonderful experience. They also have an extensive takeout menu for dining on the rooms outdoor patios. Secluded cove with wonderful restaurant just below property accessible by free shuttle boat from Positano if you have a restaurant reservation or have rented a beach lounger. Also accessible by stairs from the II San Pietro parking area.

The location is very good

A little dated

A huge thankyou to Giuseppe and his team for being so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the restaurant on site provided some amazing meals at extremely good prices. In fact, out of all the places travelled in Italy so far, it would easily be the best food I've had. Thankyou again so much for such a memorable and comfortable stay.

My daughter and I felt very welcome at this hotel and I thought it was great value for money. It's family run and definitely had a real family feel to it. The staff (particularly Giuseppe) went out of their way to help on a couple of occasions and the chef made my fussy daughter something which wasn't on the menu so thank you...the little touches do mean a lot:) The rooms are basic but very comfortable, traditional and perfect for what we wanted, which was a base whist we explored. The room was tended to daily, fresh towels and bed made etc which was so nice to come back to after a long day out. It was lovely sitting on the balcony in the morning admiring the view whilst having a brew. Overall it was a great stay and just what we wanted, we'd definitely stay again in the future. I don’t think you can get better value for money as it’s very close to Positano, but we don’t drive scooters and the bus is very unreliable. A cab from town will set you back anywhere from 35-50 euros. Room is very nice but there’s no AC, in summer gets quite hot but manageable. Hosts are very lovely :)
