The rooms are quite old fashioned but excellent value for money. The road up is an interesting walk but there is a local bus so best to research this first. Guiseppe was an excellent point of contact and the family were excellent hosts and made you very welcome. The food and wine in the restaurant was of exceptional quality and well worth dining if staying.

As a long way from shops a mini fridge in the room would be excellent plus there is a kettle but no Tea/Coffee facilities which would be excellent.

There was no one there when we arrived so it took some time to get in.

Spacious room, excellent personal terrace space, lovely family run property, excellent restaurant AND the best pizza Viccana!! Bus stop at the door but you need to know where to get off

Lovely old building but water pressure average. China cups in the room with the kettle would be a welcome improvement.

The hosts were very attentive and made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the terrace for sunbathing. The restaurant downstairs was lovely and we got room service.

The days that we stopped it was very noisy, this wasn’t necessarily the fault of the hosts just other guests. Would have been nice to have air con but we knew this before we came. It’s about 2 miles from Positano centre so is probably too far to walk, but the hosts were able to give us a lift one night and there is a bus stop nearby.

The most special week in Positano! The room was really big and had a great view. The staff was very kind and made our stay one to remember. We also went for dinner at the restaurant and the food was outstanding. If you visit Positano/ The Amalfi Coast, don't hesitate to book La Taverna del Leone!

My husband and I loved every minute of it. The welcome from Guisepe was fantastic- we arrived late and was given a snack ( which was the first of lots of food ) come back to that later! Guisepe mentioned a couple of local things ( tips etc … ) which helped enormously! The walk into positano took 30 minutes so an ideal position for us who love walking but as there were no paths we didn’t chance the walk back as it was too dark. The breakfast was amazing - we were greeted by I think ( Guisepe Dad? ) it could have been brother so apologies if that’s the case 😂 We were full every morning so light lunches for us was all we needed. We ate in the taverna I think 6 out of the 9 nights we were there the food is amazing - the service was second to none , the chefs worked really hard - the chefs came in most mornings that we saw around 9.30 and were still there at 10pm ( I assume they went home for a break ) 🤔 It’s an amazing place to stay and we both felt truly appreciated and welcomed ( as a rule of thumb we don’t EVER stay in the same place twice as there are thousands of beautiful places to stay and explore ) but we loved it that much that will be back again soon. I recommend this taverna to anyone you won’t be disappointed. Thank you once again Guisepe and your beautiful family we loved every minute xxx

Nothing to be honest - if I am to be too picky the water could have been hotter ( on the shower ) perfect temperature on the hotter days but on the cooler days could have been warmer to warm us up! But as I mentioned I am being picky

Great free breakfast, lovely staff, very nice accommodation.

The location is quite far from the town centre so can be difficult without a car or scooter. Is accessible by bus but these can often be late.
